I like that cat.

I'll quote myself regarding that image

FWIW:

I was told that the source behind this image is indeed legit. And from what I'm seeing nothing is outrageous.

Now: these could be just trailers for example, and Nintendo don't have trailers for every Nintendo Direct announcement afaik. There will still be new announcements and I think the games listed here are just those that have a release date and all.

And it's not just possible...It got Generations right.

I still find it rather funky how all the folders are divided the way they are, specifically with how this is all readily available games we know that exist. Are they press-kits? Why is there a folder specifically for a game dev interview, are they going to air it during the Direct? Seems a little odd for Star Fox at least since we already got one during E3. That and the presence of a "First Print Edition".

It seems like this is stuff that's geared up for an actual release date with readily available marketing materials. I can see the Fed Force / Star Fox dev interview go up after the Direct is over since to my recollection they don't do many of them in Directs outside of E3. It's also really odd to me that there's no dedicated Amiibo folder since they're inevitably going to announce release dates for the Corrin / Bayo Amiibo tomorrow.

Mind you I think this is real, but it feels like this definitely is incomplete.

Well, to be honest, we don't know what that "Main Presentation" folder contains so there's still a chance some stuff hasn't been spoiled IF the other stuff is true.

Probably just Shibata's link sections without any game specific content.

Federation Force, Monster Hunter and Star Fox are all games I'm interested in, so looking forward to the Direct even if this is 100% accurate.
I'm also wanting more info on RIVE, so hopefully there's some good news in the Nindie trailer for me.

You really do have to assume at this point that the people Nintendo employ to keep a lid on these things have all been moved to NX duty, because it feels like there's a lot more loose Nintendo information about than there has been for a while, but the NX is still fairly locked down (aside for some very basic stuff linked to games with zero info on the hardware itself.)

Aw so if the leak is real that means no Zelda :(

Probably saving it for E3 to show it off along with the NX version.

Well at least my expectations are in check now so I won't be disappointed.

Well for one you leave no traces when you cap it on your phone, instead of using snipping tool + Imgur on that computer directly

Then again there're two files that were made using an Office application(Excel) between 97 and 2003, so who knows who that computer belongs to or in which computer were those files created. That and the folders make it suspicious to me.

I'm a little disappointed that Nintendo can't contain its leaks in recent months. Like seriously, with everything except NX related stuff, it's managed to leak and it's spoiling a lot of the fun. I know I can try to avoid it, but I like NeoGAF and leaks are nearly impossible to avoid.

Why would Super Nintendo games be exclusive for the New Nintendo 3DS?

Nintendo's emulation probably uses a lot of memory and more CPU horsepower to run the games full speed.

GBA Ambassador games weren't emulated on 3DS, they ran natively. SNES games don't work that way.

looks like we're in for some Dreck

"_WIP" and "Main Presentation" holding more announcements are hopeful wishes

prove me wrong Nintendo

I fucking dare you

It didn't hit me until the replies a few posts back that Monster Hunter Generations x Fire Emblem means weapon/armor collab, and not literally a MHxFE cross-over game. I was disregarding it entirely.

Now I'm getting hyped over a leak that may or may not be fake confound it.

That's the new Direct format Kimishima talked about :p

Cloud, Corrin, & Bayonetta didn't get leaked.

If this leak turns out to be true I would really want to know what the heck is going on at Nintendo right now.

Right the thing we want to know more about is tight as fuck, with very aggressive NDAs (as confirmed by many here). It's also true that one of the leaks (i.e. Wii U/3DS lineups) happened because the same document contained infos on NX. IIRC, Trev repoted how the source himself wouldn't have leaked the document if it weren't for those NX infos.

You think they'll talk about the new Nintendo accounts coming this March in the direct or leave that to a news post?

Apparently the only reason that he found out about the Zelda U port for the NX Platform was because of the advertising budget mentioning that the Zelda U advertising money could get allocated to the NX version.

Cloud did. But they didn't outright tell you, they kept it a surprise.

They used vague words to described him. (Star war reference)
I almost forgot about that. Well, Corrin & Bayonetta didn't get leaked.

This is going to be one of the worst Directs I've ever watched if that 'leak' is accurate. I have no interest in anything described in the 'leak'.

As someone who does video editing (most recently one involving a Nintendo Direct lol), this is probably for all the assets/logos/screenshots/etc. Easier to organize.

Hmm, I see. But isn't a little like out of order? Also any particular meaning of the two Excel(97-2003...) files?

I mean is it Nintendo who is at blame or people who like to ruin the fun for everybody? I know I jumped down Emily Roger's throat when she leaked Mother 3. And if this person had a Twitter account I'd probably give them shit too.

I'd be interested if there was a study done on GAF on the number of people who prefer things to leak and the number of people who would prefer they didn't. Idk, the whole thing just sours me. Just because you know something doesn't mean you have to or should share it.

again...now expectations should come back down to realistic status and hopefully the buttmad won't be as high tommorrow.

What if the folders regard EU specific content? Like Star Fox Zero First Print might be an EU only thing like Bayonetta 2 First Print, there may be an EU dub for Star Fox Zero and Federation Force as most directs have different voice overs depending on the region. The worldwide footage could possibly be in the presentation folder. Possibly. I'm grasping at straws here but I'm trying to say there may be more than what we're seeing.

We're seeing a lot of stuff here that doesn't regard the rest of the world, too much.

Based on what I'm taking from Nibel's post linked below, I don't think you're grasping at straws and I think you might be on to something. (Nibel, please correct me if I'm misunderstanding your post.) I'll be keeping my expectations low for additional content beyond that listed in the leak because I don't VC want to get my hopes up and be disappointed, but I'd be delighted if we get more than this.

I'll quote myself regarding that image

Do we normally get developer interviews in these non-E3 Directs? I don't seem to recall any. I wonder what "WIP" could be at the top. Wario in Paradise.

I dunno, I'm still choosing to not believe in the leak for the time being. They've had so many Directs now where none have been leaked previously, dunno how they'd slip up now.

Well we still don't know if the Mother 3 thing is real or not, but I guess there's time for that since the 10th anniversary of its release will be in April.

The leaks aren't good for the company and it's not okay to violate NDA's or create an uncomfortable environment where nobody trusts the other employees to keep a secret. Subsequently in that kind of situation, various people are unfairly suspected of wrongdoing.

However, for fans the leaks are fine. If you don't like reading leaks, you're at odds with a lot of GAF and probably should have hid until tomorrow...
