Nintendo Direct: new presentation announced for tomorrow

I think this is the most probable situation. The "leakers" found the trademark first which was then placed on this list. Now since everyone else has found it the list suddenly has full credibility.

Call it whatever you want. At the very least there's a high chance that Monster Hunter Generations is going to be in that direct. And we know that because of this information from today.

So what? Nintendo typically sends Direct PR materials in the same folder. Worldwide and European announcements are all together - the only separation I've ever seen in PR materials was between Wii U and 3DS. If Disney Art Academy is announced as a worldwide title then there are no reasons for not including a folder with its material along with the other games.
 
Man, even if the only news we get out of this direct is an EU release date for Fire Emblem Fates, that's still good news as far as I'm concerned.
 
I'm not seeing Dai Gyakuten Saiban anywhere in that leak so obviously it's fake. ;__;

Okay, seriously though. I don't really have an issue with the contents of that leak. I think that's a fine Direct.
 
Wait why is people let down? Isn't MHX one of the most wanted games, not present in Trev leak, with localization in doubt?

It would be a great news for the direct imho

Is.it.because of paper mario u? Isn't that an e3 moment? Of course it is not coming out within Summer. It doesn't even exist up to today.

Or Zelda u? With tp hd coming out now it is another obvious e3 moment, especially after the nx port leak.

Yeah : /. They tried to repeat the formula on 2015 and in terms of scope and presentation, it was awesome. The Treehouse Live, the Digital Event with the super cool puppets of Iwata, Reggie and Miyamoto and the World Championships wich was pure hype. But at the end of the day, the only thing that matters are the games and that's were they failed big time on E3 2015.

Trueee. I wonder if they will talk in some sort about the terrible reception the game had. Something like "We heard your opinions about this game so we're working hard to bring you a quality game that will not dissapoint" or something like that.

I agree that their E3 2014 presentation was great, but their fortunes were never going to change with one good showing. You need to have sustained attempts year after year to build momentum and Nintendo's blown it for a year and a half now.

Hopefully it's just a sign they're holding back for NX and they're just getting their shit together behind the scenes.

If Zelda U would be in the Direct, it will never show up in the PR material since it will be featured as a small trailer and not much.

Localization in doubt for MHX? No way.

I know I'm a little late here, but I'm pretty sure I have the answer for this.

European Directs differ from American Directs in that Japanese speech is generally subbed rather than dubbed in the European Directs. As a result, although the interviews are indeed likely to have been conducted by NCL, a version of those interviews with English subtitles will only need to be used for the European Direct- the Americans will have a dubbed copy. The same goes for the Monster Hunter Generations announcement- in the past, Monster Hunter announcements have been handled by a Japanese-speaking member of Capcom, meaning that NoE will have to have a specific subbed version of the announcement.

This. So much this. I'm really surprised by how many people here are falling for this "legit" leak. I'll be prepared to eat humble pie later on tonight, but come on guys, no contents of a Direct have ever leaked before. Have faith!

If I'm correct, the date is indeed March 2nd as I think EU uses the "dd/mm/yyyy" order. So if you thought it said Feb 3rd, I seriously doubt it.

wait - SNES games on 3DS VC? With presumably the ones you've already got on WiiU working without rebuying?

that'd be fantastic. Can we also get GBA games in that case. And DS games (that makes no sense that DS games are on WiiU with one screen but not 3DS which actually runs DS games)

I love my WiiU VC games but the WiiU gamepad just isn't the right place to play them

Currently NES aren't crossbuy so I'm thinking it's not likely
 
I'm gonna be really annoyed if they don't offer cross-play discounts on the SNES games for people who own them on the Wii U. Seriously, the lack of cross-play is embarrassing.
 
If the SNES on 3DS thing is true, It would be quite nice to finally add A Link To The Past to my Legend of Zelda folder on my 3DS.

Also, cross buy between the 3DS and Wii U Virtual Console would be fantastic.

Even if this happens it will be n3DS only as the 3DS isn't powerful enough for SNES emulation. Second you will need to rebuy almost certainly. Hopefully Nintendo will introduce automated mandatory crossbuy on NX but the chance of them doing so right at the end of a consoles life are slim to none.

At best, VC games will likely get a special discounted bundle containing both Wii U and 3DS versions.

I'd legit shit myself in rage if the only discount offered was for people who had not yet given Nintendo money, because holy balls does Nintendo ever like to punish its supporters
 
Honestly, assuming the leak is completely legit, the thing I'll really be disappointed in is the fact that it leaked like this. I didn't even dislike the last leaks but this one is just so....lame. We know exactly what games are going to be announced/covered, but not what the exact content is. It makes it so the Direct is still worth watching but also ruins basically any excitement. As for its content I'm mostly fine with it.
