I miss The Middle. No new ep in a few weeks now I think. In the meantime, very eager to see the American Crime finale. This season has been one of the best things on TV currently running. HBO would be lucky to have a show of this caliber.

Maannn it really bums me out that reruns of other CW shows get higher ratings/viewers than new episodes of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Jane the Virgin. :(

Just console yourself with the fact that CW doesn't expect main network-level ratings and that they renew shows with ratings so low no network would ever consider renewing them*.

*this metric no longer applies I guess...but you can still bet on a 0.5 show being much likelier to be renewed if it's on the CW vs. NBC, ABC, Fox or CBS.

CW's low ratings expectations and their winning awards and critical love is all I got in my expectations for renewal.

- Deadline: ‘Underground’ Blazes WGN Ratings Record In Debut
Underground set a record as WGN’s highest performing original series ever in its launch last night. The 10 PM airing drew 1.4M total viewers to rank No. 5 among all series premieres on cable this broadcast TV season. The premiere’s 585K adults 25-54 ranks No. 7 in the TV season that started last September.

Across its four Wednesday night plays, the launch cumed 2.5M viewers, to stand as the best total-viewer opening ever for an original on WGN in same day viewing. The drama, created by Misha Green and Joe Pokaski, outpaced premieres of the network’s Outsiders by 27% and Salem by 6%. Across those four plays, Underground delivered 983K adults 25-54, surpassing Outsiders by 21%.

There is an advertisment where Shonda Rhimes, Ellen Pompeo, Viola Davis and Kerry Washington give their support for Clinton. Is that the first time something like this happened?

Clearly the work of the Il-woman-ati.

please shoot me in the face for that terrible wordplay

It is a painful night. Scandal hardly improved on The Family, Legends of Tomorrow dropped 0.2 and The 100 dropped 0.1.

Thurs Numbers

And even I forgot LoT was new
Really odd to schedule new eps w/ no Arrow/The Flash

Seriously how does Joni get the numbers a minute before on the site!

No, Legends of Tomorrow, no!

Thankfully they don't have to air anymore episodes without a week of DC shows leading up to it.

So... does Amazon not allow you to download the TV shows you purchased because the MPAA or whatever is paranoid about piracy to the point of locking shit down for legit purchasers really? I can't download my season 1 of Mr. Robot in HD and have to stream it in SD, really!?

Is there any digital video service that'll let me actually download and do whatever the hell I want with TV shows I purchase? Or are they all locked down and I have to get a DVD/Blu-ray to rip for a similar purpose?

Haven't done it in years but iTunes would let you download your purchases for offline play.

The 100 took a bit of a dip in the 18-34 demo which is probably the concentrated area of those now boycotting the show because of last week's episode. Lowest of the season so far too. The fallout of this PR nightmare could be interesting if #s are even more down in the +7 as I think a lot watch on Hulu/CW

I'm pissed because I bought the HD season 1 of Mr. Robot specifically to watch it in HD but they won't allow me to do anything but stream it and my stream quality is SD only. :|

I mean I can return it and do iTunes. But most of my stuff is purchased through Amazon, so this is kinda a shock that hey, you can't download it for offline use! I wouldn't mind the DRM or lock-down if that's what they need to do in regards to DRM. But shit... no way to download the quality I want, really!?

Or apparantly they were pre-empted.

uhhhhh what happened?

uhhhhh what happened?

Spoilers for recent episodes, obviously:

They killed Lexa, a great character who was also lesbian. She had/has become quite popular among the LGBT crowd in particular for that reason. Her death is somewhat of a trope because most lesbians in TV seem to suffer from rather tragic deaths. She seems to have been a tipping point for a lot of people who are fed up with it.

There are much better explanations in the actual 100 thread, but that's the gist of it.

So viewers superficially attaching to a character are now superficially mad about how a character was written through their superficial PoV.

For an OT that has a subtitle of "Adventures in Character Assassination," 100 fans don't seem to be taking it well.

If you watched Buffy, it was the exact same thing that happened to Tara.
I'm continuing to watch but it did annoy me. Has been one of the more interesting characters on the show.

Edit: I should add that the showrunner has not handled the fallout well for those upset which has only pissed them off more.

Seems like the CW is renewing it all!

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/cw-renews-11-series-including-874569

The CW is sticking with what works: It's entire scripted lineup.

The younger-skewing network has handed out early renewals for 11 of its series. They are: Arrow (season five), Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (season two), Legends of Tomorrow (season two), The Flash (season three), iZombie (season three), Jane the Virgin (season three), The Originals (season four), Reign (season four), Supernatural (season 12), The Vampire Diaries (season eight) and The 100 (season four).

Suck it, Joni! :P

I have to imagine a few of these will have shortened seasons and overlap in time slots

Granted, they don't have a ton of pilots in play.

Actually, they have seven of them lined up. That is more than usual.

Shortened seasons are logical, and I expect certain shows like Reign to move to the summer. But I can only hope it would mean less breaks.

How is isombie?

isn't it horror or comedy or dreama?

Procedural horror comedy drama everything. They have done it all. It is mainly a damn good procedural with a lot of variation and fun leads.

Suck it, Joni! :P
Like I care when it concerns news that all my favorite shows are coming back.

I'm so fucking happy. The Flash, The Originals, The Vampire Diaries, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Jane the Virgin and The 100 all renewed, oh yeah baby!!!

Ï always wanted to watch Veronica Mars. :(
Is that on Netflix?
