I don't know why people should be expected to just automatically switch to Hillary from Bernie. I agree it's shitty to vote for Trump because fuck Hillary and hate that people would do that but that's their choice. I don't expect all (and also I really fucking hope) that all the Republicans don't just automatically switch to Trump if their candidate loses.

Really it's up to Hillary to now work to bring in all those now Dillusioned Bernie supporters if it's really so worrying that Berniebros don't want to vote for her in the General Election. If she can't do that then I'm not sure she really wanted the Presidency that much.
Once the debates start, and the talking points are made I think the Sanders supporters will fall in line.

I was really hoping for Bernie, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. I'll always be grateful that he paved the way for people to talk about socialist policies as a realistic idea in the US in this modern age.

Congrats to Bernie and his supporters for running a good campaign in Ohio. My bf and I managed to GOTV today for Hillary, and I called all weekend leading up to this.

I really truly do not want Hillary as President, but it does indeed look like Bernie is done. If it is indeed Trump vs Hillary like it looks like it is after tonight, then yeah the lesser of two evils is Hillary.

So nothing will change or improve for the majority of Americans for eight years now, this sucks. :(

Are you blind or just extremely short sighted? Supreme court picks by Clinton for the next 8 years will help progressives for DECADES.

Let's say hypothetically Bernie realizes he has no chance and decides to suspend his campaign. What happens to the tens of millions of dollars he raised?

Don't worry Hillary gaf. i'll be on the Hilladawg train come GE. Being a Bernie supporter at times like this just isnt good the ether. i need time to recover.🤒🤒🤒

Youth vote is non existent this time around, looks Bernie might squeak by in IL and MO, but that's the best he can hope for.

LOL WHAT LOL

I like him relative to the rest of the GOP crowd because "I think he's not evil" and "I trust him with a nuclear arsenal" but his policy positions are the complete opposite from Democrats w/ the exception of health care.

He....he is evil though. Why do people keep saying this....I...

Why is Kasich even celebrating? Why are his fans cheering?

He is mathematically eliminated.

He could win 100% of the votes from here on out and still not win the nomination.

I'm just glad Bernie was there to steer the narrative to the left and give some competition to Hillary. At least she had to do some work for it rather than simply be handed the crown and sceptre. The Republican nominee won't be able to say she hasn't earned her place.

Yeah but Kasich winning Ohio isn't shocking. He was hoping and begging for this for weeks and weeks now. And like I said, he's the governor. What does this actually change other than preventing a two man race?

My hope for Clinton is that Hillary chooses to crush republicans instead of working with them like Obama.

This is one thing that could make me excited about her as president.

Yeah cheap college and universal healthcare. Fairytales, right? Every time I get some serious health issues I wish I could say, "Be back in a few hours I'm going to the hospital for some X-rays." Instead I have to say, "I sure wish I could go to the hospital for Xray, but I don't have $800".

This is why I want out of this country.

I want those things too but Bernie would never get those through with the House being what it is/will be for at least the next couple election cycles.

Hopefully his (not insignificant) success energizes the next generation of Dems and we can actually see these things happen in the next 8 years or so. Several southern states are changing a lot demographic-wise and the political map is going to look very different in 2024.

I hope so, this spite voting thing is really stupid. They can do it sure and no one can stop them, but it's really really petty and will just hurt us all.

Voted for Bernie, but I wouldn't be too bummed if Hillary wins each state if it causes the party to consolidate before the repubs do. None of the dem primaries are winner take all though, so even wins in every state leaves wiggle room in a "So you're saying there's a chance" kind of way.

Still seems too soon to call Ohio imo.

Kind of the opposite really. Because none of the future states are winner take all, Burney has no chance of catching up even if he wins a few states tonight. He would need to run up a bunch of 80-20 and 70-30 wins in the remaining contests and that won't happen.

Any Sanders supporter who votes for Trump supports fascism. You don't have to vote for Hillary if you live in a non-swing state, but if you do live in a swing state, vote for Hillary. Capitalism is still more historically progressive than fascism, and helping Trump win in any way is worse than maintaining the status quo and working within the party to try to force it more leftwards through midterms and local elections.

Agreed, but once Bernie drops Hilary will shift back right a bit.

It's pretty clear that Bernie's way is the future of the Democratic Party.

2016 will determine whether the Bernie Sanders candidate of 2024 has a friendly judiciary that will allow his legal achievements to live, or whether he has a hostile judiciary that will kill anything that is brought before it.
