Bernie Sanders is unelectable in a general election. A vote for him was ultimately a vote for shifting the country rightward due to the inevitable Republican victory and domination of every level of government.

I don't think Sanders is unelectable, certainly not against the chuckleheads contending for the GOP nomination. I think he's a bigger risk than Clinton, since he's never been attacked before (whereas her high negatives are a legacy of decades in the national sphere), but he could have won, were he the nominee.
