Just really loving the hand to hand animations.
FFXV is the only game with animation that either matches or outdoes UC4 that I've seen so far (or played).
If the rest of FFXV plays like the demo, there's no doubt in my mind that gameplay animations are either close or better in FFXV. Even that game however falters in comparison when looking at the whole package (facial animations, cut scenes etc).
But for the life of me, I can't think of another game that touches UC4 in the animation department. Most games either do gameplay pretty well or cutscene, not really both. And even the gameplay oriented ones don't really hold a candle to the UC4 animations that I experienced in the multiplayer beta, let alone the SP so far.
The thing about Uncharted 4 is even with it's brilliant animation, it still manages to be super responsive and play really well.
Ellie>Drake
So Drake is pretty much a master weapons thief lol. Every other snippet he's stealing someone else's gun.

"You're going to get to have that on the stick."

A technical masterpiece. Best anim sys I've ever seen. ND simply do things no one else dares to. As a cohesive technical package it's simply a true next gen step up. The only people I can see getting close to this is as a package, are ND. Special mention to Henry's music. So pleased Greg's theme remains. Coupled with Henry's electic scoring I believe we are in for an audio tour de force.
Bravo ND...bravo.
Slow-mo of the very wet mud kicked up towards the camera, has a nice translucency.

The blast from the impact shaking the cam!
Wish i could disable ALL camera shake on all games , freaking hate it
Even that wonderful camera movement when Joel runs?![]()

Especially running camera movement
Pulling that sniper down's going to alert his buddy at the bottom though.
Not a Vlambeer fan I take it.

And to think, those side to side rope swinging parts were always my least favorite aspect of Uncharted traversal. Too damn chunky and finicky. All the analog improvements both in movement and melee look amazing.
I didn't play Episode Duscae, but from what i've seen in trailers it looks really good, even if somewhat exagerated sometimes. But to me, what's really important is how responsive the controls are while maintaining fluid animations, and Uncharted 4 beta blew me away in that regard.
In Uncharted 3 I felt that they sacrificed a bit the precision of the controls to give priority to the animations. I'm really glad they didn't make the same mistake with Uncharted 4. The game controls really, really well without feeling "mechanic".

Holy crap, that skybox!

Edit: You the best Shin-Ra!
Not this time around, at least. Hey totally did that with Uncharted 3 though. The only significant set pieces they didn't straight up demo were the smaller boats and the horseback caravan, and they still showed snippets of those in trailers.

Are you being sarcastic? Uncharted 3 is an incredible game. Sure, it's more flawed than it's predecessor, but it was always going to be a tough ask following on from one of the best games ever made. I say this having only recently played through it again. Uncharted 3 is at 92 on metacritic after 97 reviews for a reason.
user was not talking about the game quality but instead on how sony marketed the game, like for realAre you being sarcastic? Uncharted 3 is an incredible game. Did you even read my post?
Oh man the lighting and environment here really makes me excited for a next-gen Red Dead. C'mon Rockstar you're late to the party.
That's still too much for my liking. I'd prefer one trailer only. I miss the glory days on ps1 when we developed our opinion of the game the day we played it, not 6 months/ a year before. I'm on a media blackout (then why are you in the thread etc) and I still catch glimpses of the environment here and there, wish I could avoid that. He's talking about marketing. ND were criticized quite a bit for showing so much of the game before its release. I think it's why you've seen them take a step back for TLoU and U4. For U4 we got one set piece demo, one mechanics driven demo, a single story trailer, and a few pieces of new footage in these behind the scenes documentaries. That's obviously excluding the multiplayer trailer.
