Yeah, it's something I used in Bloodborne and focused most of the time on dodging rather than parrying. I guess I could try it...

It's even risky for someone who has played all the other ones haha. Enemies tend to have moves that track pretty well so you need to dodge really well to avoid them. It's also straight up better to block some attacks than to roll. I reckon it's the hardest game so far if you want to 2H all the way through, especially since enemies tend to be faster than in past games. It's still very much feasible but it'll be risky.

You can always mainly 2H your weapon and switch back to 1H+shield for enemies you have trouble against (which is what I try to do, but I think I spend more than 50% of my time using my sword with 1H).

Started playing today, a few hours in.. Well I don't know but I'm loving it so far. Having a way better time than I had with Dark Souls 2 already.

The beginning feels quite a bit like Bloodborne but that's fine.

I just wish I could play it in English. But japanese will do.

But like I mention I was invaded by a red spirit that wore the same armor as Horace in the bottom of the catacombs before the giant skeleton boss. Also when I was doing coop with another player, he was invaded by that same red spirit in the same area. So I want to assume that is Horace.

Watchdogs of Farron, where is the location? I have cleared the boss in the area and was pretty thorough grabbing all the items. Still haven't found it though.

the homages to DaS in this have been really great...like I'm enjoying the hell out of it even if I have some level design/world qualms but it definitely feels more of a true sequel as far as lore/atmosphere/gameplay than DS2 ever did.
