It's just naughty dog and a few other key players. These guys are fully invested and get whatever they want. They deserve it.
Launch titles for the Next Gen are going to play a bigger role than ever before.
Promises of what's to come isn't going to cut it anymore. Aren't we still waiting for some "first year" titles to come out? And we're going to get a new console?

Agreed with this. They also have a gold mine caliber of 'Disney-like' IP's/Mascotts, so it is good they are finally realizing this, and doing that deal with Universal Theme Parks.
Since the Vita is slowly being put to rest, I am ready to jump on this handheld if it looks great for my Nintendo IP nostalgia fix.

As a side note, I don't see any mention of upgraded RAM by the OP. If it will indeed be targeted at 4K (even while keeping the IQ the same as the current PS4) you are going to need more of this. Perhaps 12-16GB GDDR5(X) or HBM(2)?

Does this have typical upscaling or something more complex? I hope that's not pushing it. It's my biggest question right now.

Newer GPU architectures utilize Delta compression so there is no need for more RAM. I am curious if they will go for GDDR5X though.

Even thought the one I am quenching on now is Polish (Luksusowa, great gluten free potato vodka, like really good!).
I was actually in the market for a 1080p set. I only jumped on the Sony 49XBR830C because they had an 'open box' that was never used or even taken out, that they gave me it for less than the W800C I was gonna get for $700 as a hold over for a year or two until OLED mature's with other makers entering the arena.
So I bit, because it was 4K, heard fantastic things about the X1 chip and it's scaler, perfect 4:4:4 60fps in 4K with PC, and it was a great TV for $600 (it was brand new, TV never taken out) when it now retails for $900 'on sale'.
Glad I did, I am loving it. Daredevil in 4K on Netflix, bruh! And PS4 games look native, especially the 900p Battlefront. This scaler delivers.

I just hope developers are happy and we continue to get games like Ratchet and Uncharted 4. This gen feels like it's just taking off, don't want any drama, just bring the games. I'm ready to be WOWed.

This is a exciting time to be a console gamer, we have a choice now, stick with out dated hardware for 6 years or upgrade mid generation. The people crying about ps4 games gonna get gimped cause they will focus on better hardware, this is already happening unless all you do is buy playstation consoles for exclusives.

Perhaps all the leaks being Sony focused means they're further ahead on the dev side of things?
I'm guessing he probably means that leaking the detailed specs would ruin the reveal plans too much.

I am liking what I am hearing more and more.
The 2x is only for the GPU by itself. There is also said to be a change to the CPU, the overall performance could get a much higher boost than just 2x. But yeah, I agree with the statementt that it's definitely not enough for a PS5.

That's it folks, pack it up, console gaming is dead. Our last hope was Nintendo and not even they can save us now.
Sony will milk us dry with yearly updates. This year it's $2000 for a PSVR, ps4k, and a 4K TV then next year it will be another $4000 for ps48k, psvr2 and an 8k TV.
Meanwhile Microsoft will steal all our consumer rights with draconian DRM plans, will spy on your children via Kinect and Cortana will steal your wife through hypnosis.
We need to fight this. Everyone to the build a PC thread, GabeN is our last hope.
