The scene of Luna with the Leviathan, also the scene of Luna in the Dawn trailers.
I'm pretty sure that scene is the whole 2013 scene which Noctis is in and Tabata hasn't said anything about cutting.

We needed to accept the fact that FF was no longer a winning franchise, and needed to think about what to do to make it great again.
Tabata is Trump, confirmed.
Can't think of a better title for a title invoking such a different range of emotions around here.Final Fantasy XV |OT| Make FF Great Again ?
Seems Tabata is very aware of the beating FF's image took during PS3/360 era. Their framing development as a challenge, an attempt to prove that Japan can still compete in modern game development is stirring. Pulling out all the stops and shooting for the moon, come what may. It's the Final Fantasy spirit - no playing it safe.
That's also how they kicked off Uncovered. Having Sakaguchi come out and talk about how he looks at FF like it's his child, and how sometimes you wonder if that child is going down the right path. It's a clear reference to XIII, although obviously without saying it by name.
Tabata: That's right, it's coming out on the 30th of September, give or take a few days depending on the region.

Feck...Europe is going to get the short end of the stick I bet!
But FF14 was already great.
It's true, and it's so often overlooked.
I disagree but opinions and all.Because great or not, FF's legacy is compelling single player games, and despite what people say about the story in ARR, it really just doesn't match up at all (IMO) with even the weakest single player FF title.

It also had a pretty lousy first 3 years on the market. That's hard to come back from that in the public eye, even after A Realm Reborn and Heavensward were great. But FF14 was already great.
They changed that in Heavensward and really toward the end of ARR.I think we might've discussed this before. My main issue is that story basically just happens around you. Being basically a silent protagonist who does errands doesn't feel like an FF-caliber experience.
Final Fantasy XV |OT| Make FF Great Again ?
Nope. FF is already great.Do it.
It seems the link for the Famitsu interview doesn't work anymore, so I'll repost an alt.

You have to visit their homepage and then find the english article to make it work for some reason
But FF14 was already great.
Famitsu has blocked referring links, which absolutely blows my mind considering websites are made to generate traffic, lol.
It's like "we have this website, but we don't want you to visit it!"
That's exactly how this should be looked at. When you read the article, they hearken back to the height of FF popularity with FF7 and when Tabata is saying "making it great again", he's referring to how great it is in the overall court of public opinion, and FFXIV hasn't really helped it there since MMOs are a niche market these days. They want to restore the brand to its former glory.Maybe he's referring to the public opinion. Whenever I mention FF to some of my friends that follow the series only casually, they'll usually tell me how awful XIII and OG XIV were.
The main story of ARR is terrible and I do agree. But Heavensward's main scenario is awesome. Too bad the genre forces the player in an endless farming and griding race to enjoy it. That's why FF14 will never be among my favorites in the series. It's also aging pretty fast and looks very dated by now already from both gameplay and visual aspects. I can't wait for FFXV to bring some freshness in the series with its open world mechanics and western RPGs inspirations. That's what the series needed the most.
Final Fantasy XV |OT| Make FF Offline Great Again ?
in order to deliver a cinematic experience, we brought in a talented professional screenwriter, and other staff from Hollywood.
OMG... this needs to be the OT title..
it can evoke a lot of emotions (not always positive), like the trump campaign..
can't see a better OT title
Hollywood talent doesn't necessarily translate well into video games. It could be a good fit for Final Fantasy, though.Good to hear

I'm still partial to
Final Fantasy XV |OT| Final Fantasy Versus XIII HD Remake
Wow. Great interview so far as I'm reading it...damn Kingsglaive is 110 minutes or 1 hour & 50 minutes long?! I didn't know that!
Oh, whoops. I'm dumb.pretty sure the hollywood guys were hired for kingsglaive and not the game if I read the article correctly
It is really long for an animated movie. Must have been pricey; hopefully they can make at least most of their money back. I would hate to see a Spirits Within situation sending the Final Fantasy part of the company into a tailspin.Jesus this movie is long, I dig it. Plus it's canon and a must see before playing the game and the anime as well.
