Latest drivers: (as at 21/12/2017)
Nvidia: 388.71
AMD: 17.12.2
Intel: Depends on your processor; download the driver update utility

Tips and tricks:
Durante's port report: See this PC Gamer article.
Various CPU/GPU benchmarks and data: See this GameGPU article.
Note: The article is in Russian, but the data is presented via graphs.
Cap the framerate/potentially improve frametimes: Download RivaTuner Statistics Server, input your desired framerate limit in the "Framerate limit" box, and hit enter (the program comes bundled with MSI Afterburner and earlier versions of EVGA PrecisionX). Alternatively, those with an Nvidia GPU have the option of Nvidia Inspector, which can also be used to impose a framerate cap, either in a similar manner to RTSS or by way of forcing a different vsync interval (click the small tool icon to open the game profile section).
Note: Useful if you your system can't maintain, say, 60fps and you're sensitive to the wild fluctuations, or you're experiencing uneven frametimes. The greater window the engine has to render a given frame, if you're imposing a lower framerate than the game can otherwise provide, may also help in alleviating stuttering related to data streaming.
Stop the game from crashing after 15 minutes on touch-capable systems running Windows 10: Open the task manager, switch to the Services tab and disable TabletInputService.
Run the game in a borderless window: Use the aptly-named Borderless Gaming program. (Credit to Codeusa @ Github via dmr87.) See here for a usage guide.
Note: You can purchase the program on Steam for USD$4 or your regional equivalent if you're feeling charitable.
Fix particularly poor performance on 500-series and 600-series Nvidia GPUs: Try downgrading to the 314.22 drivers. (Credit to Oracle Dragon.)
Fix ambient sound issues (for those with a Realtek HD Audio codec): Install the latest drivers. (Credit to Pafnucy.)
Mitigate instability (1): Try increasing the amount of virtual memory Windows can use. (Credit to Asph @ Reddit via Exploding8.) Additionally, running the game in a borderless window (see "Run the game in a borderless window" above) may also aid in at least reducing intermittent crashing. (Credit to Exploding8.)
Mitigate instability (2; for those on Win10): Running services.msc using the start menu (type it in and hit Enter) and disabling Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service may help. (Credit to Rayge.)
Mitigate instability (3; for those with an Nvidia GPU): Try setting your GPU's power management mode (found in Nvidia Control Panel -> 3D Settings) to "Prefer maximum performance" may help. (Credit to mjp2417.)
Mitigate stuttering (4; for those using an Xbox controller): Try rolling back to the 2009 drivers. (Credit to bones123.)

Spent the past two weeks playing a review copy Bandai sent me. After patch 1.03 (and the latest nVIDIA Drivers) the game has been running at pretty much locked 60fps with all maxed out @ 1080p. I have a i5 3570k, GTX 980 and 8GB RAM.

It's the most solid PC port that FROM has done so far. Matchmaking also appears to be great.

Game is insanely smooth. After 50 hours with the PS4 version it's like a different game.

Will update impressions if I have any issues

6700k 980ti SSD

Nice Job JaseC as usual!

Two crashes in 10 minutes, not promising. 364.47, 780ti. Gonna update drivers and cross fingers, otherwise I guess it's a downgrade.

edit: And there's already a thread on the steam forums full of people crashing in the same place, right at the first bonfire.

Man big thanks to whoever DIDN'T make this thread 3 days ago, glad I don't have to skip 6 pages of "will it run on a 970!?" and "got a 980Ti can I max it out!?!?"

Shit is really annoying when it's based on nothing.

Sorry if this a stupid question, but how does RivaTuner help smooth the frame rate? Does it somehow fix frame timings? I can't imagine it makes the game perform better in terms of average fps.

well im on the latest version, latest nvidia drivers installed on an ssd

and i would get random frame drops when nothing was happening. when I got to that ice enemy and it did its little spray attack thing my frames drop for probably a second or two to like 38 fps.

its kinda annoying.

3570k
970
8GB RAM

game looks great though

edit: this is apparently happening when its saving in the background?

Terrible framerate performance; 5-10 frames on Low settings

I5-3450 3.10gz
8gb ram
GTX 660

Game just kicked me out to the main menu with a frame rate error message.

Will try a few things out.

i3 4360
750ti 2GB
16GBs of ram

high settings 1080p constant 30fps variable up to 41fps in some spots i need a new gpu lol

Good info! Thanks to Durante for the PC guide.

I'll try to get 60 with a 960 by lowering ssao, shadows, and motion blur.

And there's already a thread on the steam forums full of people crashing in the same place, right at the first bonfire.

I'm pretty sure Jim Sterling already mentioned this crash in a video... 2 weeks ago. So, in 2 weeks they somehow couldn't fix it.

It's my headset!

If I unplug it my framerate goes to 60. Plug it in, goes down to 5 and kicks me to the main menu.

Playing the tutorial with an i5-2500k not OC'd and a newly installed GTX680 (gift from a friend) with 8GB RAM.

The game was running fine at the beginning (apart from the opening cutscene after character creation which kicked me due to low FPS) with about 40-50FPS but the moment I changed any setting it went to about 10FPS and stayed there every since regardless of what I do. I then get kicked with a message saying framerate too low for online play. Any tips?

I have a 430W PSU and had to buy a Molex->6 pin adapter to get the 680 working. Any idea how I can see if it gets not enough power?

Interesting, will try that too.

EDIT: Doesn't change a thing for me.

1080p maxed, I was getting 60fps (well, the usual 56-60 I get in games, its never truly always 60 afterall) in the tutorial area, including fighting that
ice lizard
which has some particle effects and shit. Will report back when I play for realsies tomorow.

specs:

i5 4690k
16gb ram
2 x gtx 970 (dont think SLI is working tho)

3 CTDs right around the first bonfire.

Updating nvidia driver to the one in the OP. I was at 364.51 already, so I dunno wish me luck.

Well, I'm encountering the game just stops and quits itself upon stepping away from a bonfire bug that giant bomb described... totally unplayable.

In the very first opening area and I'm getting wildly fluctuating FPS, ranging from 40 to 60, playing at 1920x1200 at max settings. Tried bumping everything down to medium but it's still the same.

i5 2500k (OC'd to 4.5 Ghz)
GTX 970
8 Gb RAM
840 SSD
Latest Nvidia drivers, games is patched to 1.03.

Is it just a rough area or is something wrong? Seems that I should be hitting a pretty consistent 60 FPS with my setup.

Oh, and black borders in 16:10 resolutions? :(

i5 2500K
GTX 970
8 GB RAM

So far, I had two crashes - one at the character creator, one just after reaching the first bonfire. Also, the model on the character creator took about 2 mins to load, and the game took about the same.

Currently moving the install from HDD to SSD.

Just a heads up to those using nvidia cards. Those latest drivers have issues on some cards causing the clock speeds of the memory / core not to ramp up when gaming causing certain games to run terrible frame rates.

OH GOD. What do we do??

Crashing everytime now. Quit every non essential program just in case. Rocket League works perfectly so I know its not my GPU... Do you have a link to the Giant Bomb thread?

When the hell did they change the recommended video card to be the minimum video card? I thought I might at least get to play on low settings with my crummy 560 Ti, but apparently not. Unplayable at any settings.

The East crew mentioned it in their prerelease coverage. Its really quite strange. Game works fine until you die... then when it reloads the moment you get ten feet from the bonfire you're just staring at the desktop.

I have a slightly old but respectable rig, 3770k, gtx680, ssds and 16gig of ram.

When it does run its bounding in between 40 and 60 on high.

i5 2500k 4.0 Ghz
GTX 970 EVGA
16GB RAM
SSD

Seems to be running buttery smooth for me though I had a brief black screen whilst starting the game. After that though been rock solid and very smooth. Will run an actual fps counter tomorrow though, need to go to bed now :(

i7 4770k
660ti
8gb Ram

Around 30 on high, but I'm getting a new card this weekend. Either a 970 or 980. I haven't decided.

Unplayable for me. Can't get past first bonfire (less than 5 minutes into the game).

Other than that it was fine for me up till then on a GTX780 3GB, i5-4670K 3.4GHz, 16GB RAM at 1080p.

Though there was a nasty freeze/stutter for a few seconds when I tried to lure a hard enemy out from it's area.

I can't play until later but can people say whether they're running the latest nvidia drivers with all these crashes? I don't know if I want to update yet.

^yeah my problem started with the first bonfire

I haven't updated my drivers in a month or two and the game doesn't work fwiw. Gonna try updating.

edit will try the shield fix

Just in starting area. So far, pretty much 60 fps @ 4K with disable DoF, Blur and AA running on 5930K @ 4.4GHz + SLI Titans X using latest Nvidia drivers. Xbox one Elite controller works just fine.

Since I am running Gsync, I don't see a way to disable Vsync. Is it possible?

Latest Drivers (I even double checked earlier to make sure I was "game ready").

EDIT: Dunno what is causing it but I went to windowed mode and set the settings to low and it loaded in game this time.
