I think the point is gun manufacturers are the ONLY business you can't sue for wrongful death. They have a special immunity.

My understanding is they aren't suing because of actions.

They are suing because they believe certain weapons are deliberately advertised as being part of an action-packed, militarized lifestyle accessible to the average person. They think this is inappropriate and likely to increase irresponsible gun ownership.
