I didn't realize it until I saw him playing tonight but Luca Caputi reminds me of a boyhood friend I had. I was something like 6 and he was about the same age or just a bit older. Renzo was his name, real italian looking, more so than me.  A son of a very close family friend, my dad's compare. We used to have so much fun in the basement together playing floor hockey with a tennis ball, wrestling and rolling around on the floor. My first truly best friend. Sadly they moved back to Italy. I saw him again years later but we grew apart. It was to be expected with such a distance between us, different friends and interests. Anyway I just got nostalgic seeing Luca tonight, he reminds me so much of Renzo. I can see him becoming a favorite player of mine.

Thomas is number one. Simple as that. If our offense wasn't complete shit then this discussion wouldn't even be happening this season.
You're probably right. I have nothing against Thomas — I've always rooted for him — but for the past few months Rask would've been my choice if I had to pick one to win a game. Ideally they'd both be in a place where they're playing at the top of their game.

Also, seven straight for the Hurricanes. If they don't make the play-offs, they'll at least be in the race down the stretch.

Not downplaying Rask, Thomas just hasn't been healthy the whole season and the team sucks. This win though turned everything around. There is NO WAY we don't win the cup now.

You're doing it wrong. You have to LOSE to the Leafs, which results in your coach getting fired, your GM making a couple of depth trades, and then your team rolling to the Cup.

Bullshit we are Toronto. Next season we get their entire team sans Kessel. Trade Toronto for Crosby. Crosby for ?

big win by the preds tonight. nice to put some space between them and all the losers from last night. win over detroit tomorrow would be very nice

Staal credited with the tip on Malkin's slapper for the winning goal tonight. What a game by him.

Pleased with how the Pens are playing the past two games, but hoping Fleury gets his head on straight for the playoffs.

:lol at the "Damn Crosby" t-shirt ads now popping up in this thread:

And yeah, Nabokov's new mask is pretty ugly, but it's not much worse than that hideous skeleton one that he's used for years.

Wolski scores the winning goal in his debut with the Coyotes against his old team, one day after being traded. Wow.

Better yet, the Avs lose!

Most definitely, myself included. Again, what does that have to do with Pierre McGuire!?? :lol

i don't know if it's because the camera placement in vancouver was so excellent or because i'm watching the sharks/habs game on a non-hdtv, but the view seems to be very far away

Well great game. Thought we'd win after two, but hey.

I'm looking at Pouliot, and that might be the best move Gainey's done. God that kid's got skills and those who were saying he was not an intense player, so far, well they're fucking wrong.

Fuck you guys, we were two kids just having fun. Everything was innocent, shame on you assholes for making lewd suggestions.

Who's the genius that decided to trade Woljski ? Seriously, last time I checked he was a great player. The two players he was traded for seemed to be really not worth it.
And what's with the Avs hate here?:lol

Blackhawks vs. Canucks tonight. :D

Madden is back for the 'Hawks so hopefully that will improve their defense a bit. If not, at least Kane and Versteeg have their drinking buddy back.

Acid and Robert disappearing a month earlier than the Sharks this year?

I feel so lonely in this thread.

Pens fans, the early word is that Ponikarovsky is going to be playing with Kunitz and Sid, not Feds and Geno.

Does Bylsma have the balls to sit Guerin? That would be weeeeeeird, man.

I believe Guerin missed practice today so he may not play tomorrow. I guess Bylsma doesn't want to break up Geno's line right now, but it's still possible Poni gets rotated around a bit.

What's gonna happen with Godard when he gets healthy?

and we got Andrew Alberts ! He will battle it out with your Byfugly :D

Gonna be a great game tonight. It'll definitely be weird for Kane and Kes playing on opposite teams tonight, but I'm sure they'll get the butterflies out of their system after a few shifts on the ice. GO CANUCKS!
