I remember the camera crew and her adjusted their positions so many times just to block us from seeing what's playing on the big screen behind her.

"We have new info for you! *Takes out fake magazine with giant SECRET sign written on it* Do you want to know what it is? You do, don't you? Well...the new information is..*flips over to show audience what she was reading* tadah!!!"

...and it was yet another two giant SECRET! signs pasted on the inner pages. That was a good stream.
 
Using google translation skills, I figured I'd just cut out the parts that looked interesting. Obviously, this is google translation, so don't take it as fact as words can be mistranslated along with many other issues.

yep, import is the way to go. if they do not announce simultenious release for Europe I defenetely will import NA version. I guess it would suck if they release DLCs for the game, but it's so much better than waiting for another year

Yeah. That would make sense for why P3 and P4 is brought up. Mostly, I just try to use Google Translation for finding keywords like 'Summer' and just wait til someone who actually knows Japanese can translate.

For what it's worth, August and September I expect are also considered Summer, so it may not fit what most people would consider it.

Yeah but they were not the ones going around GAF posting that it'll release in 2015 two weeks before the delay.

You're probably talking about Atlus USA. Atlus Japan, Sega or even PlayStation never issued any sort of press release or public statement like that concerning Persona 5's release date shortly before its delay. Even though P5 was listed on the TGS page for 2015 before it was actually delayed, that was a formality that they were obviously forced into (can't omit the date because that looks suspicious, can't put the real date because that's ahead of their trailer plans).

This time, it's an actual blog post by PlayStation Japan straight up saying Summer 2016 without trying to put it on the down-low in any way.
 
omg, this game is probably my most anticipated this entire year at this point, please come out as close to the Japanese release as possible ><

I hope you are not in UK, mainland EU or Australia/New Zeland.
 
if sega/atlus is smart, they would do a worldwide release because i believe the series is primed to go big this time around like a final fantasy or souls game. Sony would be smart to communicate with them and do a bloodborne type promotion/release as well.

There's also the fact that we do not know it'll have a WW release between Japan and NA. Considering this, a delayed release between regions is objectively the more reasonable thought, going by precedent and context.

Persona 5 isn't being co-marketed between both regions, as WW release games do. Japan gets news and only months later is there an English equivalent. The PV03 trailer hasn't even been uploaded on Atlus USA's channel yet.

Let's say that P5 is revealed to be a late August/early September release in Japan on May 5th. That's about 4 months of promotional lead-up. This is only going to be a Japanese-centric event, however, so presumably NA will get its equivalent at E3, giving less time for English marketing if they were to release simultaneously.

Then we consider the fact that SMT IV: Apocalypse is set to be released in Summer 2016, likely September. They won't be releasing SMT IV: Apocalypse and Persona 5 alongside each other.

Totally agree. Don't mind people praying and hoping but I hope they all consider it to be unlikely. Winter is what I'm expecting with the potential for a march release if we are really unlucky.
