But what if I opened a page in Chrome more than 7 app switches ago, and I want to get back to it? Gone. Hope you can disable this auto-cleanup of recent apps, I'm perfectly capable of managing it myself.

Even if it just let you tag favourite apps which never got switched out, it would be a start. Chrome and email I'd always want instantly available.
