The Witcher III: Blood & Wine |OT| One last contract, one last plough

Barely had time to play TW3. Will do so when I get my 1080 next month.

I am too impatient. I was trying to hold out until I get my 1070, but when the game is already installed and Blood and Wine is downloading as I type this the temptation is too great.

I just hope my HD7950 holds up still.

Although I admit it will be awesome to come back to this game later when I do finally have my GTX 1070.

I still can't download it in the UK. The unavailable has now gone and it;s just blank now. No download or purchase button or anything. Great.

Figured I'd ask here, instead of doing it in the patch thread.

The level scaling option in the new patch works in HoS? I absolutely prefer zones by levels, such as in WoW, but I actually want to give this a go. I'm so fed up on the starting Velen zones, I have this game at work for playing purposes, so I have seen way too many people playing these areas. I think right now I'd rather explore new zones while doing quests, so if everything scales to my level that'd be wonderful and I'd prefer it this way.

At home I've done that area too, I left the game halfway through the Baron, I've been waiting for today to play it all at once, with both expansions already out. The reason I didn't download a save further ahead at work is because it would spoil new zones for me.

I keep getting this error when launching as it compiles scripts

Error [content0]game\gameplay\interactive\housedecorationbase.ws(24): Property 'disableFocusHighlightControl' does not exist in 'W3HouseDecorationBase'

Warning [content0]engine\environment.ws(25): Global native function 'EnableDebugOverlayFilter' was not exported from C++ code.

The enemy scaling isn't an expansion feature but a patch addition as part of the 1.21 update.

It works everywhere in the game.

Just to make you aware this only affects enemy levels relative to your own, it will not effect quest rewards, experience gain, or dropped items. It's a difficulty modifier.

For those of us with PS4s in the EU who bought the expansion pass:

First they don't let us pre-load, and now they don't unlock the game for us on the release date, while everyone else gets to play it.

Thanks Sony/CDPR.

How do I download it on the PS4?

It's not in my download list and when I try clicking on in the store, it says "this content cannot be selected at this time".

Mine in the UK literally just appeared as you posted this. Check again.

33 minutes left :(

I gotta get level 64+ and I don't have time! (I'm 42)
Will using cheatengine to give me xp break anything in the game? Is such a thing even possible?

I don't think there's a version out yet that's compatible with the new patch, but the debug console will allow you to set your level by entering:

setlevel(64)

I can't imagine it'll be long before the new version is on the nexus site.

I searched for Blood and Wine on my computer and downloaded it from there. Couldn't find it through the console.

A tip for those who play on PC on high-ultra settings: make sure to go into graphics options and make sure all sliders are where they should be. In my case water quality and texture quality were reset to LOW after the patch for some reason. Also all alternative costume DLC options were switched on, I don't remember using any of them last time.

Well, they're not really kind to the people who bought the physical (and most expensive) edition of the DLC either. PSN has been super slow today over here, even though my PS4 has 180 Mbp/s internet via cable. I wanted to download it tonight so I could start playing tomorrow morning, but I guess I'll have to wait until the morning to even start the download.

edit: not to mention it's 01:19 here. It should've been up more than an hour ago.

Finally downloading as a UK season pass owner on PS4.

It's too late for me to dive in tonight so look forward to playing this tomorrow.
Have fun with it folks and take your time since it's the last Witcher ride for lord knows how long.
