More than just being nostalgic, to me it looks like a direct hint at the Crash splash screen. It even has three dents on each side.

Funny thing is, Cedric responded a fan a couple weeks ago saying they didnt have anything planned for Shenmue 3 at E3, looks like things changed

Some of the 'predictions' in here...

My mild prediction...

Konami make a public apology for their treatment of Hideo Kojima and immediately release a new demo for Silent Hills. Except upon completion you are rewarded with a trailer for a next-gen Crash Bandicoot developed by Naughty Dog.

You know I don't wanna get my hype up too much.

Setting my expectations low for things I want:

- The Last Guardian confirmed for release this year
- Horizon confirmed for release later this year or first part of 2017
- Rise of the Tomb Raider in September/October preferably
Who the fuck cares at this point, really?

Who the fuck cares at this point, really?

By the time October rolls around, or whenever it is the game is coming out, I fear you may be right. There's so much stuff coming out, and it'll be new and possibly bigger than Tomb Raider, so how many people are really going to care by that point? The PS4 version is sure to flop.

We know how it looks like, we know how it plays. Don't want to see it at the conference.

If this is all that was meant by "who cares," then I have no qualms. It shouldn't take up any time at the briefing. Unless it's just to say, "Hey, this is out with all the DLC this fall for $40."

Yep, it doesn't matter if every first party studio at Sony announced a new AAA IP at E3, people would still be disappointed. It doesn't matter if Sony got a list of all the "dream" games and made them happen. People would still be disappointed. It doesn't matter if folders got announced. People would still be disappointed. :P Basically, the internet is going to internet no matter what but I wouldn't let that nonsense get in the way of a great show.

Are you implying that this year will be up there with last year's conference...?

More that you will always have disappointed people.

Last year's Sony conference didn't 'disappoint' me, but it didn't 'interest' me either. As crazy as that sounds.

Edit: the 'internet is going to internet' works both ways, too. For every boring-ass cynic who's disappointed by great game reveals you have the overhyped console warrior :D

Holy shit Sony has make this their "one more thing."

How could it be?

I'd imagine at least a third of this year's E3 will be closer looks at stuff shown last year like The Last Guardian, Shenmue 3, Detroit and Square games (FF7R, KH3, FFXV). I wouldn't be surprised to see WiLD reemerge as well. As for new reveals, we have the possibility of Crash Bandicoot and Agent if you're an optimist. Don't forget a lengthy segment about sales, a section about PSVR with possible release date and PS Neo information.

This E3 is mostly going to be about the hardware, I think.

Edit: God of War 4 slipped my mind, that will almost certainly be there.

Sad but true.

I think sometimes that the only E3 that could not possibly disappoint some would be, on top of the expected:

Half Life 3
TLG ("true PS4 mode" reveal)
KH3
FF7R ep 1
Shenmue 3
GTS confirmed VR/ esports focus, but followed up by full featured GT7 reveal almost immediately
Ni no Kuni 2
Nier 2
Persona5
Hellblade
NMS VR
Syphon Filter Reborn
Resident Evil7
Dead Don't Ride (renamed DDRX because reasons)
God of War 4 with both new protag -and- Kratos with coop and competitive
Warhawk XD
Socom XD
Suikoden remaster and new entry
New Valkyria Chronicles confirmed as a tactical RPG after all
Ys 8
Big SCEJ Rpg with mix of open world and traditional JRPG
Gravity Rush 2
WiLD
Dreams
Detroit
Stig project sci fi space opera FPS/ TPS RPG secretely reborn

All coming before 12/31 2016.

Even then, I feel some would find a way to complain probably ;)

Edit: personally, if we're talking crazy, I want Philosoma reborn for the 21st century. Let's mix Space Opera and Gigger Horror again!

There's absolutely no fucking way Sony will use its conference to sell ROTR.

That's just common sense.

I don't think it would even be allowed to appear on a Sony stage would it? Microsoft seem awfully determined to have the brand associated with Xbox after all, so I'm sure there's something in the contract they have with Square Enix that disallows them the opportunity to have the game advertised at a Sony presser. Could be wrong though.

Not much beyond a post implying that Sony will be going all out again this year.

"Year of Dreams 2.0"

But they technically can't, like seriously we know about GOW4 and we have a general idea about other studio's games, they can't really surprise us, and yeaa Crash Bandicoot (and not by ND) doesn't compare to TLG- FF7-R- Shenmue 3, U4 and Horizon from last year, so I can't see how they can surpass it, unless they bought HL3 f om Valve and are giving it to ND or something crazy like that.

That's very likely as well, yeah.

And PR-wise it would be a bad look for Sony to use its big conference to sell heated-up leftovers from the other guy.

I do hope/assume Squeenix will show it at its own E3 presser.

I certainly will. I'm a huge UC fan and I enjoyed TR2013DE on PS4 quite a lot.

I will not say that you shouldn't try it BUT to me it's worse than TR13 story wise and it's mess balance wise among other big flaws. The gameplay mechanics work but that's about it "they work" - it's like playing a Mario clone - just because it jumps like Mario, it ain't Mario if you catch what I mean. Makes that new thread I'll avoid so fun but if I dive in I'll probably rustle some jimmies and I already left my impressions of that game in the PC OT.
---------------

Gopher D implies lots of things :)

You know who is awefully quit...Verendus...kinda odd given the activity of Gopher and DemonNite.

Hnnnng every time somebody posts this pic its gets the banana juice flowing

No no no. $40 on the scale of ratchet and clank, hell use whatever engine they used.

You're getting too greedy too soon, man.

Ape Escape was always a $20 title in an era when that wasn't a thing yet.

Speaking of 20 $ title and Fat Princess.. we need a Fatty P 2, the first game on Ps3 was fantastic.

Fatty Adventures though, not so much
