I would love a new IP but infamous SS + standalone dlc did really well so I think they will play it safe.

Just wondering, what unannounced games will we likely get gameplay for as opposed to just a trailer? IIRC, last year we got gameplay of Horizon, but a CGI trailer for FF7R and a Kickstarter trailer for Shenmue III.

Shenmue 3 was way much more unexpected than HL3, it's not even close. HL2 was successful, unlike Shenmue and Shenmue 2.

Same. Spidey is my favorite superhero (despite One More Day trying to butcher him *shakes fist*).
I'd love to see how Insomniac handles the swinging and gadgets. Too bad it'll be following the movie rights.
I would've loved to see current billionaire Spiderman with his spidey-mobile and vast array of gadgets at his disposal.

I really can't see Sony dedicating any screen time to stuff like Rise of the Tomb Raider. I know they have a good relationship with SE but hyping a one year delayed game reminds me of the Wii U launch with stuff like ME3. Doesn't really make sense to me.
It feels like Sony has more of a relationship with the Japanese arm of Square Enix & not the Western arm. Yeah, the PS4 gets exclusive stuff with Hitman, but other than that, everything else has been Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest (which technically is more Nintendo) & Nier. I guess it doesn't help that Uncharted & Tomb Raider have similar themes either.

Tomb Raider is an afterthought at this point. Any marketing will be on SE's time and dime.
Seems that good relationship mostly apply to their Japanese develops games compare to their western develope games.
Mostly of their western games have exclusive marketing/content with MS

It's in Square's best interest to show it before the show. Revealing it during E3 will mean it'll get virtually no attention. So I can't see it being at Sony's show outside of a montage. Sony should have more than enough to show that an old port would be completely out of place.

But they told me I can choose a day off next week to compensate (since I am new to the ofice and they haven't sorted out our payment and everything, it's hard to pay for overtime). I decided it would be during Sony's E3 conference. It's perfect since I can stay awake for the Microsoft conference the previous night, and wake up early for the Sony conference without caring about work.
I iz happy GAF, let's celebrate. Bring on the hype!

Yea, I dropped it after that as well. Just got back into it.
Current Spidey has the Peter Parker Foundation as a company that develops tech for a wide range of things, including SHIELD. So he's mega-rich, and has access to all sorts of cool tech and gadgets.
It's a good change of pace from the typical woes of Peter Parker.

All this talk about that rumored Spider Man game by Insomniac. Is that supposed to be a PS4 exclusive or something?
Kinda feeling like it's just another Activision contract that they're outsourcing to third parties. Gonna expect Transformers/TNMT budget, unless the reveal blows me away.

if this is true, i can't see Capcom announce two major title at the same place

I know people love Platinum around here but I hope a studio like Insomniac gets a chance to handle Spider-Man. Platinum is stretched way way too thin.
God damn RE7. I'd be perfectly fine if they just cancelled/postponed that whole project and put all the funds/resources towards the real hotness aka DMC5.
Gut feeling says there is good validity to that rumor. But even a timed exclusive from R* in this day and age, I just don't see how Sony can afford that shit lmao.
