Injustice 2 gameplay reveal June 11 5pm PST plus new characters hinted

And remember, not every character will be announced today.

I know this post won't mean much and could be obvious to others, but considering the hyperboles around...well, everything this days...if a character you want is not revealed today, then just wait.

The game won't be released until Spring 2017.

And for that matter, the visuals change too. Since this and the possible new thread will be flooded with "Netherrealm sucks at rendering faces". :p

The stage transitions would be sick

Anyway here's a couple stages I hope make it in:

House of Heroes
Another city stage that's outside the U.S.
Qward
League of assasins headquarters
Bludhaven
The rock of eternity
Smallville
inside the speed force
Bizzaro world
 
I've been thinking about NRS' love of guest characters

Spawn, Hellboy or Judge Dredd are all recognized comic classics that would be fantastic.

But how about a Ninja Turtle? Pick just one to represent the whole series (Michelangelo, naturally).

But with the gear system, the dream guest character is of course Iron Man, leading into a Marvel vs DC game.

We have KI to do guest characters that don't fit in a game for that, just go with Spawn or Hellboy.

Well originally her mask was the Batgirl cowl with the mouth sewn shut because Cass didn't talk much.

It looked fine,

Rebirth mask is horrendous though.
Either give her a scarf for a non-Bat identity or the Black Bat identity if she isn't Batgirl.
Batgirl identity= only cowl
Other= anything.
Though her eyemask wouldn't work so well without the cape so i'd say her rebirth costume would be better with a scarf.
 
Really hoping for Constantine at one point. But honestly what I'm really hoping for? No guest characters. I know it's not gonna happen because they sell so well, but they've always just been awful.

But that's in-game...just low-res/poly since is the mobile skin/model. :p


If anything, console version will be more detailed and rounded.

The mobile game received an update recently that included skins from Superman and Aquaman from Injustice 2.

Artwork and ingame models posted since yesterday are from that game.
 
So has nrs had the same artists for their entire existence because these terrible designs are not funny anymore.

It varies. While they have artists, a good chunk of the design is done by others outside Netherrealm like Cy Mandua or arthouses like Atomhawk.

Jim Lee designed Scorpion in Injustice.

Gotcha. Still, I'm not expecting much better from the new game. NRS never have been very good at character design/models
 
How was Injustice 1 as a fighting game? Pretty balanced and fun? Did it get overshadowed by the other fighting games at the time? Seeing how it will be DC characters I think I would identify with the game more than other fighting games.

It was good. It depends if you like Mortal Kombat since it plays like MK2011, but a bit faster and bigger areas.

As for it been overshadowed by others at the time, it depends on what you mean. Sales wise it exceeded expectations and did over 3 million, before the Ultimate Editions. Word of mouth was positive too for the most part.

Eh, I just think their faces are awful and animations are really stiff or awkward at times. Look at someone like Cage and how weird he animates. They did improve on the actual designs, though. I actually thought injustice 1 was better with animation, but I may be remembering incorrectly

It was solid, though it felt a bit on the clunky side for me.
 
I'm not going to lie, the armor's killed my hype a bit. I don't know how competitively viable the game'll be because of it, and frankly, it looked awful in the trailer. That said, I'm still excited to see how I2 plays; bring on the Cold!
