Why show off th gameplay if it's not representative of the final game? Dishonored 2, Watch Dogs 2 and now Horizon Zero Dawn are having great gameplay demos

The gameplay in GOW was already very suspect, seems to be turning even further into the wrong direction since the writing is obviously going to be bad.

They should've doubled down on the action and made it faster.

All the skill gain popups related to the activities the kid was doing - seems likely that he is the main character (probably after growing up some, or grows up during the game), and what we saw is just intro/tutorial that sets up passing the torch

Wouldn't be surprised if Kratos had a minor role and is mostly there for continuity

Yeah had me wondering if there will be a Red Dead style twist, only earlier in the game. As a GoW fan I think the series could absolutely use an RE4 style makeover. It's time. It looked like the combat retained the signature GoW impact/weight to it though.
