Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3 2016 Thread [*LIVE*] (No childish commentary allowed)

What? I'm complimenting the game.

What I'm implying is that n this Zelda there is so much to do even without making progress vs other open world games where there isn't a lot to do outside of quests and side missions.

The side quests and side missions is what counts as stuff to do while not forwarding the main story. Honestly mate, it sounds like you need to play more open world games. Last night I spent countless hours doing wicked side quests in Witcher 3, playing Gwent, renovating my house, exploring, finding notes in enemy camps that added lore to the world and locations, upgrading my characters skills and abilities._. and so on. You're not doing much else in Zelda except for cooking, exploring, killing enemies and clearing mini-dungeons.

Stuff to do. But for what? What's the need for cooking and collecting? I don't see it so far.

Are you watching? They allow you to get heart containers, temporary stat upgrades, temporary resistance to different elements, and probably lots of other things. How can you not see any purpose?! Are you watching the stream? She's practically able to enter areas that he'd normally need equipment for early by create spicy potions that give her cold resistance

I'm a little behind on the stream, had to actually do work :-P.

Just saw link collect a butterfly by walking into it... ugh I actually like using nets and shit like that in zelda.

GameXplain's analysis machine must have melted today.

They've talked for like half an hour over that 4 second clip from earlier this year. They are going to need to release like a Ken Burns multi-volume documentary to cover all the details we got today

The attention to detail in this game is absolutely insane, even considering how long the development period has been.

Best answer! Besides, everything shown does serve a purpose in the game and it certainly seems to have been spelled out and demonstrated, even without sound like how I was watching it!

I don't think it uses the gamepad really at all, or at least not that they've said. You can play the entire game using a pro controller, so there certainly can't be any gamepad dependent features. That suggests to me that the NX probably doesn't heavily feature a 2nd screen like the Wii U does.

Thank you very much for the response! I hadn't seen anything said about it yet but I'm sure I just missed it in the sea of responses! It's certainly nice being able to use another controller like that! I also guess with all the UI elements (unless many are there for demo purposes) that may be another thing to think about too, but I agree with you!
