Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3 2016 Thread [*LIVE*] (No childish commentary allowed)

its so funny w people thinking the trail areas are easy, considering these people are just going up to a puzzle and being like THIS IS HOW WE SOLVE IT! but there's no prompts, it looks like you get a new ability and then have a few tiny puzzles of varying difficulty to figur eout on your own how the ability works. It makes sense.

ugh, so ugly, looks like a GameCube game.

lmao was going to be my exact reply

Rupees are confirmed, so I guess we'll be able to buy gear and whatnot

There is no way all 100 shrines will give a new insane ability right. That's impossible.

I hope they do and think they could come up with 100 different abilities. It's not like most Zelda games properly utilize the full extent of their 10-15 items anyways, so throwaway ones aren't really a problem and even welcome to differentiate play styles with the open nature of the game.

I do have to say, the one thing im disappointed in as that we probably wont see zelda until a much later date.

I critized Sony for a lack of release dates, and in fairness that applies here too.

If I had a release date I'd be booking time off work right now.

E3 demos only happen in the great plateau that according to aounuma is about less than 1% of the whole map
I was thinking the time limit automatically reduces the amount of area you will see. But I didn't get the exact wording. Proven otherwise would be cool, though.

Hoping it isn't the exact same model for each shrine trial. That would completely ruin the game for me, almost as much as a town without exactly 3 and a half different types of building (no more, no less).

Finally tuning in during lunch.

To be honest, Zelda pretty much looks like any other game from the last 10 years. Still looks good though.

It does seem to be using survival and sandbox elements that are common in other video games these days. What I'm counting on is Nintendo's ability to balance stuff like this, as well as still having good level design. We'll see if Nintendo can actually make a more fun survival game.

Using that ice rune to open up that gate from the bottom up was ace. Good stuff.

Maybe there are special non-rune non-shieka slate items hidden within these shrines.
But even then I think it's reasonable to assume that most of these shrines won't give you any items outside of the spirit MacGuffins.

haha I am actually referring to the character zelda, sorry!
The date being so far behind does have something to do with that though.

"Opal is usually traded for Rupees but it can also be used for crafting". Not direct quote of the item description because it was only on for a second, but maybe there are still at least some Rupees in the game? Other items have "sell" descriptions as well.

This game looks so good. I really hope it comes out with the NX release. I want to play the best version possible, but I don't think I'll be able to hold out if it comes earlier on Wii U.
