Honestly, as someone who isn't a pokemon fan, Go seems like a cool download solely for the walks the fiancé and I take with out dog. We have a beagle that frequently stops to sniff everything of interest, so I could seeee that time the appeal of pulling out the smartphone briefly and searching to see if a Pokemon is in the area.
Who knows, maybe my fiancé and I will get hooked and eventually invest in Sun and Moon later this year. It seems like a much better attempt at mobile than miitomo at least.

Exactly, people shit on publishers for not giving their devs shine but when they do people shit on the devs because they would rather see the games.

No, but just as when Splatoon was first revealed through Treehouse, they might change their minds if there is enough outcry. Although, it is Zelda, so they may treat it differently.

Why not? Well it's just a very transparent skinner box with microtransactions and no gameplay. I'm sure it's good at passing a minute or two though, just like every other mobile game out there.
On Day 1 there was a lot of embarrassing posts because the treehouse opened with Pokemon gameplay when people wanted more zelda.
Oh right, also the whole gushing over the women playing on stream, I forgot about that.
