'People aren't voting the way I want, so we should ban them from voting '
What is it with this casual flirting with authoritarianism in this thread?
It's disgraceful; that's what it is.

Wait, Boris Johnson is the most popular politician in the UK?
That was a joke, right? Like, that isn't seriously actually true
But we're part of the EU. We've got record employment levels.

Good for us.
I know it's some primary school at least. Going to call when the phone line opens to be sure.
Ah, Independece Day is their new pitch for the Leave campaign. It's in Metro newspaper as an blurb/advert/shite.
It's telling that you jump to the assumption that the uninformed would be voting to leave.
I wish I shared your confidence, I really do.It's too late for Brexiters. The difference needs to be higher in their favour.

Isn't this assuming that undecided voters will default to the status quo? I can only hope that is so.Yeah. They need to be polling far higher than this to have a hope.

What you've quoted and this statement don't match up.

Looking at the EU economy that could happen either way, only problem is if the EU economy really goes down the shitter (more than it is at the moment) we have no way of looking to the rest of the world to find new business.
Yeah. They need to be polling far higher than this to have a hope.

Yes it does.
weekev, as quoted by uzzy is apparently pro remain.( Unless I made a mistake there.)
Uzzy implies that a test for knowledge on the issue being voted on would block people that weekev doesn't like from voting, I.e. leave.
Even with an independent set of facts, from what I've seen of Leave voters, they would be resistant of anything that challenges their views.
Sorry where did I say ban people?
They should do a test beforehand for your vote to count to prove that you actually have a Scrooby what you are voting for.
I stand behind age restrictions for key votes like this.
I hope it was tongue in cheek, but it's not the first comment I've seen in this thread that flirts with authoritarianism when it comes to who should be allowed to vote.

I must admit I'm a bit sick of it all at this point, which I didn't think would happen!

It won't be any old tea it will be British tea. Pure British tea ... From IndiaYou cannot force me to have tea with tak3n, please!
Meanwhile, the Sun urges voters not to trust Prime Minister David Cameron.
It publishes a large picture of his face and writes: "Look into his eyes... and then make sure you vote Leave tomorrow."
Last day of campaigning, thank fuck for that.

The real answer to the whole age/knowledge thing is to not put major complicated decisions to a referendum to a larger population who will only be informed badly by politicians.
Just one more day, thank god
I'm for Remain but even I appreciate Farage and his rhetoric does not speak for many on the Leave Campaign.
As I said a few pages back, I'm amazed and bemused the Leave Campaign if they were a co-ordinated effort didn't muzzle him.
You can be for Leave and hate Farage in the same way you can Vote Remain and hate Cameron. Personality politics has screwed this debate to a toxic degree.
