So were just over 500k votes in, it might look wobbly now, but we've got 45 million possible votes to go. I imagine it's going to go back and forth quite dramatically over the next few hours.

I'm not saying it is. I'm pointing out that blue coller leave voters don't give a flying fuck if markets crash and bank workers lose their jobs. I know it's not really a sensible viewpoint but it's how things are in the world I live in.

I see, and yeah, in that sense I think you are right -- if anything, markets crashing before seeing any real immediate impact on their own lives may as well be a bonus "fuck you".

Why? The markets have crashed numerous times without the working class voting on anything.
Did the bankers care about the plebs when the economy crashed in 2008?
A collapse in house prices, stock prices and inflation due to a weak pound will affect all classes. The warning of how painful Brexit would be (by multiple independent bodies) has been dismissed by many leave voters.

The harsh reality of the situation they have wanted may now just be setting in.

I don't understand.
Why is Guardian showing that the majority is Remains while BBC is showing the majority is Leave?

EDIT: Never mind, Guradian were behind.

I'm not as deluded as I make myself out to be
Can you imagine if it gets to 381/382 declared and there was only like 1000 votes in it.

The tension!

This is what happens when people are fed up, part of this is wanting to spite politicians and 'the city'. Just as I type this Nick Robinson said the exact same thing on TV. London generates a huge amount of public finance money, but while this helps everyone it comes at a cost. Being far from London means fewer jobs. Being close to London means high house prices, and for people who don't commute they don't have the inflated wages to go with it.

I think the Sunderland and Newcastle results speak more to modern Labour's incompetence then anything else. A strong Labour party wouldn't have let this happen in their heartlands.
