Looking forward to Dumfries being the only place in Scotland having a 90% leave vote because we are a bunch of twats.

I'm finding it particularly puzzling the Leave votes seem to be coming from rural/non-cosmopolitan areas. Not to play into the "Leave voters are racist angle", but is this maybe just a lack of exposure to immigrants?

What is the main reason? Globalist economics? As an American, the immigration issue is the one that's getting the most coverage from our press.

On macro level Remain seems the solid bet

Problem is on a micro economic level people think remain means stay the same. So they go what has this done for ME lately? Nothing? Well might as well bail then.

I could be wrong though.

Children of Men was a prophetic movie in so many ways.

And time for a news break.

I like that Dimbelby has to keep reminding us that this isn't as convoluted as our normal elections and all that matters is the overall count.

It's refreshing to have an election decided vote by vote. Even if true democracy is terrifying.

I think a lot of people here are being too quick to blame racism on North voters, reality of living in these areas is that they rarely see ANY benefits from EU schemes, Scotland, Wales and London are the key places that get the money for rebuilding and projects to modernise the area where as the North usually tends to get nothing, that's ALWAYS been an issue in the UK since like the 1980s.

Miliband hasn't suffered the PM ageing effect at least.

I think we're due to announce at 3am.

I also love that this is counted from votes. Shame that doesn't happen in the general elections.

Yes people forget UKIP got over 4 million votes in the general election, which is a frankly ridiculous percentage of the voting population.
