Good job BBC Wales, it looks like you've managed to leave the editing software rulers on the referendum logo there, green lines everywhere.

The EU hostile to democracy and referenda? What a surprise!

Huh? Just if you don't follow the common rule of the EU (like accepting regulation and paying money), you also don't get the benefits. Which should be devastating to the UK economy.

I honestly couldn't tell you if these are real places or Game of Thrones cities. #BrexitOrNot #Brexit

Ask me about the GAF Notebook
I think a lot of people here are being too quick to blame racism on North voters, reality of living in these areas is that they rarely see ANY benefits from EU schemes, Scotland, Wales and London are the key places that get the money for rebuilding and projects to modernise the area where as the North usually tends to get nothing, that's ALWAYS been an issue in the UK since like the 1980s.

Exactly.

On a macro level it remain might seem appealing.

Yet people especially in certain rural areas look around in a micro sense and go wtf has this done for me or my local community?

If London keeps us in the EU I won't say anything bad about Southerners for... 1 year. It's all I can promise but it's something.

Today I am ashamed to be a Yorkshireman.

Please do not let me serve on a jury. I am actually a crazy person.
Barking & Dagenham 62% for Leave.
first London borough to flip.

we're 20% in, and there's not much more Scotland to carry this through. Edinburgh better pull through.

Unsurprised seeing places like Pendle vote to leave. Lots of the north has been left to rot for 30 years and this is voters showing what they think of political class.

Scotland wants to Remain in the EU.

England could be on its way to Leave the EU.

How can the union continue? Scotland needs to go it alone and apply to join the EU.

My constituency: Uttlesford (Safe tory seat)

#Uttlesford #EURef result: leave 26,324, remain 25,619 (rejected ballot papers 29). Turnout was 80.3%

Whatever the final result, I don't think I feel like watching Black Books anymore.

Any Scottish shows or movies someone would recommend?

Sweet Sixteen, Ae Fond Kiss, Red Road, The Angels' Share, Neds, Gamerz and The Wee Man. Some good, some great, some alright-ish?

Not all directed by Scots but still.

I'll try to promise the same thing. At least Newcastle has done their part.

I don't get it...doesn't the UK always score like top 5 or 10 in those happiness or "good" country ratings....

I swear you'd think the fucking world was falling apart and there were roaming gangs from hell with how you heard the discussion.

Haven't really kept up with this, always thought Remain would win out easily. Is there even a "Leave" plan after it wins??

Scottish news just said no. 100% remain so far.

Hey fellow Newham bro. Barking onwards towards Essex has a lot of racists people. When i lived in Essex for 3 years, it was constant racism on my way back from school.

I haven't lived their long enough, see alot bengali and pakistani people in barking so thought it would've been different, i guess not.

I'm finding it particularly puzzling the Leave votes seem to be coming from rural/non-cosmopolitan areas. Not to play into the "Leave voters are racist angle", but is this maybe just a lack of exposure to immigrants?

I hope there's a lot of studies poring over the data in the future. I think you'll find a lot of similarities to the USA and its more rural/country regions of the South and Midwest.
