Fallout 4's Nuka-World DLC Is the Last One, Bethesda Says

I gotta go back to the original Season Pass announcement thread and laugh at all the people who were mad at me for criticizing Bethesda for that shit.

Everyone who paid for this shit before they even decided what they were developing in terms of DLC deserves this shit and everything else publishers decide to take out of their asses.

I'm normally all for respecting customers and consumer protections, but I can't help but agree and laugh here. If you gave Bethesda a bunch of money before they even sat down to think about what the content would be, much less how good that content actually turned out, you totally deserve whatever you got.

I can't believe I fell for this, I should have known there wouldnt be more than a 30 dollar value. This will be the last season pass I buy full price from you bethesda.

Anyone that criticises Fallout 4 or Bethe$da are wine & cheese eaters.

Man.. How does Bethsoft continue to generate good will with gamers when their products fall well short of expectations time and time again?

This reinforces my decision to only buy season passes which are clear about the intended content.

The Mario Kart 8 season pass is the best example of this. We knew we we're getting 6 characters and 16 tracks as soon as it was announced.

wow fallout 3's dlc was 100 times better than 4s. :( luckily i didn't buy it, I refuse to buy any kind of season pass until all dlc is out

yes, i enjoyed the simulator one and the space one.

Howard mentioned this at E3. I'll reserve judgment until Vault Tec and Nuka World.

I wish there'd been less focus on the settlement stuff, but so far I'm OK with the $30 considering how many hours I've sunk into this game.

I don't think many people paid $50. Hopefully this type of marketing ploy doesn't become a regular occurrence.

Wow that sucks. Was expecting 5 solid DLCs like with FO3 and FO:NV. We got a bunch of add-on content for building houses or companions, 1 solid DLC (Far HArbor is pretty good), and then just this?

Disappointed in Bethesda. I bought the $30 Season Pass, not the hiked up one, but if you bought the hiked up one, you got a really bad deal IMO.

I really hope developers learn a lesson from CD Projekt and the way they handled their expansion pass.

Actually scratch that, I hope the people buying these season passes learn that lesson.

The deluxe edition is 50% off on Xbox. That is probably the only way I would consider this with the doc at this point.

'Fallout 4' $750 million game launch leaves 'Call of Duty' in the dust

totally deserving IMO. so sick of Call Of Doody

wonder what the current sales are. has it reached $1 billion in sales yet?

What a joke. I used to vehemently defend Bethesda as the best makers of content-rich DLC (with a few missteps here and there), but while Far Harbor was good, only two full packs for $50 (for those that didn't get the deal obviously) is insulting.

i paid my $27 and am more than happy with what i'm getting. laugh away?

seems like bethesda knows the game is kind of a dud and wants to move on. still doesn't explain the price hike, unless nuka world is huge. which it could be

So glad I didn't buy this season pass. I don't understand what they were thinking with this. It pales in comparison to all the DLC on previous entries.

Paid $25 for the season pass and I've been happy with all the dlc thus far. I am disappointed that nuka world is the last dlc, not because I feel cheated, but because I think there's still so much more opportunity, and this seems awfully early in a Bethesda game's life cycle for them to be calling it quits.

Fallout 4 has been an all round farce. No sympathy for people who paid $50 for the season pass, it was probably not going to be worth it.

Wow that's a really nasty announcement.

Far Harbor was a solid DLC but it wasn't exactly worth more than most of the Fallout 3 or New Vegas DLC's.

I assumed the price hike would mean at least 1 more major DLC and 1 more glorified mod.

I doubt anyone can defend them. The season pass is really not worth the price.

I'll defend SPs if I think the value is there (see: Witcher 3, Borderlands 2), but this Fallout 4 SP is absurd, especially when you consider how they hiked the price because what they were planning on bringing to the table was-- in their eyes-- worth the $50 asking price.

It was obvious from the start that Bethesda was trying too hard to cater to the Minecraft crowd with this game. Still, 3 workshop DLCs are overkill and really undermine the value of the season pass, which is sad because both Automatron and Far Harbor were pretty good and I expect Nuka World to be great as well.

It sucks but I can't blame them for being smart since the whole settlement building/crafting system made FO4 their most succesful game ever

Wow...And to think The Witcher 3 season pass was 30 bucks.

And i payed for the separate releases with gwent decks and i feel great for giving CDPR my full support!

As for Bethesda, they really messed F4's DLC support this time. If memory serves me right F3's DLCs were all story related and added more to the base game?!?

If they charged $15 a piece for Far Harbor, Nuka World, and Automatron, and $5 for all the settlement stuff I doubt you'd hear much complaining. But some how it's a rip-off in a $50 season pass most people paid $30 for?

I took the bait for the increased cost... i guess its ok at 30 but this still makes me made. Definately not cool. Wont buy another season pass, if any dlc, from them ever again.

So you are defending this? Good luck...

Crappy season pass. Basically Far Harbor + Nuka World and a bunch of bad mods.

$15 FOR AUTOMATRON.... wow... Some people have different priorities when it comes to DLC than I do I guess.

I enjoyed FO4 but I'm so glad I didn't buy the season pass, even when it was $30. The expansions have looked pretty underwhelming.

So in total for $50 players got 3 workshop updates (Which is useless if you don't care about the workshop) and 3 story updates? I don't really see the value here and both Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 3 priced their DLC better so unless a player grabbed the Season Pass at the original $29.99 price this $49.99 price wasn't worth it in my opinion.

I'm let down by the opportunities lost. I love the FO4 world and there's many more possibilities to expand the story. In my opinnion, past FO titles have excelled in delivering great story driven DLC.

The DLC for FO3 was great:

Even FO:NV had great (if not a little wacky) DLC:

As for FO4, the developers have showed what's possible with Far Harbour and I'm sure NukaWorld will be great, but it still feels like they didn't really deliver on the same level as past titles.

To buy all DLC's at once and sometimes with a discount.

I think Season passes are great, you don't have to buy them, you can always wait until all the DLC is out. Most season passes aren't worth it but the concept behind a SP is really good imo
Yeah, I can't be too upset about season passes because for games you're not passionate/confident enough about you can just wait until it's all done and buy it at a great discount (if you don't get lucky before it's done) and it's not much different from balancing whether you want to buy a game now or or later anyway.

It's still kind of lame when you have hijinks like Bethesda's though! Not just here, but with Doom.

I'm content with my purchase of the season pass before the price went up. I view it as getting the two big DLC's for $15/each which seems to be more fair than $25.

Good that i never bought that overpriced joke of a season pass.

Also got lucky not buying the Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass after i was considering it.

New Rule guys. Never buy $50 Season Passes.

Fuck that! Unless Nuka World is amazing, I don't think even the original price they were selling the season pass for was worth it. I feel sorry for the people who bought it at the extreme overprice they have it at now.

I'm perfectly happy with what we're getting based on the $30 I paid.

well thing is a lot of people are enjoying the hell out of the workshop stuff (i'm sure as hell not, but anyway)

assuming nuka world isn't gimped, $50 isn't all that terrible of a "value" . it just goes against standard pricing for season passes unless the game is something like Destiny or whatever. you can always buy the story DLC standalone
