Pokémon Go is live on the Google Play Store

People reacting to their phones not being compatible or not knowing that they actually have to walk around to play this game is hilarious.

Okay so I just did a run at a local park after downloading it. There are 2 gyms and 5 Pokestops on the track there. I ended up catching an Evee, Weedle, Ekans and got 2 eggs and a BUNCH of Pokeballs. Hit level 3 so I need 2 more levels then I can battle (those gyms are fucking MINE!)

This game will be Amazing for walks!

So in my (admittedly brief) neighborhood walk I could only find Bellsprout. But there were indications of Rattata and Eevee as well. I had to walk pretty far to even find those Bellsprout. Didn't really see much of note. Not sure how to "create" a team either.

Go catch more.

Assuming it'll be out officially tomorrow, I guess I'll be ready to give it a go. Even with the negative impressions, the child in me is excited to see anything even seemingly close to Pokemon in real world environments. I'll probably end up grabbing the hunk of plastic too...

Compatible with my tablet, but well I was able to run the field test version. It had some loading issues later on through, so I guess I shall see how it goes here.

Downloaded the apk, working fine on my Galaxy J1.

Started with Squirtle, already captured Pinsir, two Pidgeys, two Weedles and one Paras. Seems interesting...

There are settings , click on the pokeball

AR mode works fine for me, Pokemon show up fine, Galaxy S4 here

But I captured some Pokemon now what?

Get to steppin.

Seriously, though, you have to walk around to find gyms, take them over, then defend them. I think that and catching pokemon is about it.

APK Link Hopefully APKPure is allowed.
After looking a little bit it looks like the beta did not work on Android N and so I guess that is why this isn't working on my 6p.

This game really could have used a UI tutorial. What does tapping a Pokemon's silouette do when they're nearby? Would think it would set a waypoint but nope. Also, I don't understand what the pawprints under the Pokemon in that menu are supposed to represent.

I'm impressed with how the PokeStop system works. This bird statue in my area is listed, no idea how they pull that info into their game.

Just from what I'm observing it's using Ingress portals as either Pokestops or Gyms. A lot more Pokestops than Gyms for sure.
