It's rare to see someone take a knee like that with full force dead-on. I can't think of anyone who could eat that kind of strike.

I agree but normally they just get laid out. I haven't seen a professional fighter cry from a single strike before.

Fair enough. Could have fractured something I suppose... That kind of pain can be hard to deal with, adrenaline or no (which is not even likely a factor due to how comfortable most fighters are in the octagon.)

Or maybe he was just done ;)

I haven't seen a fighter like that cry over a flying knee before.
Only other one I can think of right now is Cub Swanson when he got hit by that two step flying knee from Jose Aldo. I'm sure there's more too, it's actually pretty rare that a flying knee knocks out a opponent unconscious, it usually ends up being a Technical Knock Out since the opponent pounces on them when they are stunned from it.

Iirc, some time ago, one of those MMU fighters made the hadouken pose after beating His opponent and there was also one who shew up on the ring wearing a DBZ scouter.

Jesus Christo that knee.

Dude went down like he shattered his face.
And the commentator shouts out "beautiful!" when it happends, lol, i found that somewhat disturbing. I know that its not ment like that though and that he is talking about the fighting technique, but it sounded kinda "weird" to me.

lol the Hadouken is Carlos Newton and the DBZ scouter is Michael Johnson.

edit: correction, it was Marcus Brimage that had the DBZ scouter.

Not sure he was particularly crying in the normal way. I imagine getting your nose shattered will make your eyes water a fair amount, and hurt.

Thanks for the spoiler OP. I've been avoiding MMA websites all day because it's not airing until 9 p,m. here in the US. Never thought it would be spoiled on the front page of gaming.

Whatever happened to just having a good fight and not all this other BS,OK he got the guy good but next time he might get the pokeball or whatever the hell they call it.

mma is a gross 'sport'

Sport in quotes....winner.

That knee to the head is the real highlight here. Dropped him like his head asploded.

EDIT:

Although I agree to a certain extent, showmanship has been a part of fighting for a long while, and it does entertain quite a few.

In MMA I always go for the one with the least number of tattoos. I'm assuming that people who aren't 'tough' get tattoos to make people think they are while the truly 'tough' guys don't need to tell people how 'tough' they are.
It's more often right than wrong.

That was pretty lame.

I hope the other MMA fighters call him a nerd and give him wedgies and swirles.

Translation: I don't like tattoos.

Bellator is still protecting this guy?

He's a bit of a can crusher but he's still very skilled, he needs to fight some top level competition for sure.

Venom looks phenomenal. The true successor to Anderson SIlva.

Wish we could see him in the UFC.

Let's not get crazy. Anderson Silva dominated the middle weight division at the highest level for nearly a decade, Page has been crushing cans steadily for not even as long.

i agree. they should wear long pants and long sleeve shirts to cover up the sweat

If you were to wear log pants and long sleeves, could give your opponent a grappling advantage since you wouldn't as slippery for them to get a hold of.

They clean the mat between fights though.

It's been 2 years. I know he's the golden goose but they have got to take off the training wheels eventually. He'd probably have been bodied in the UFC by now.
