Are you serious? You and I both know she is not referring to the line in the song in that instance.

She is referring to the argument that the incident put her on the map. Stop being obtuse.

You really should stop at this point. She literally was talking about the line. Don't want to believe it? Fine. Don't bring your ignorance in here though.

How did she know it was misogynistic if she had never heard it before? You Swift stans are something else

Where is the video of Kanye telling her he was going to call me 'that bitch' in his song? It doesn't exist because it never happened. You don't get to control someone's emotional response to being called 'that bitch' in front of the entire world. Of course she wanted to like the song. She wanted to believe Kanye when he told her that she would love the song. She wanted them to have a friendly relationship. He promised to play the song for her, but he never did. While she wanted to be supportive of Kanye on the phone call, you cannot 'approve' a song you haven't heard. Being falsely painted as a liar when she was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination. She would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that she never asked to be a part of, since 2009.

So, BunnyBear, can you explain to me how she's not lying when she claimed Kanye never called her?

I'm pretty sure she's permitted to be offended by the word "bitch" but be ok with the rest of it. What might seem just as bad to you can seem totally different to someone else.

I think Taylor Swift and her PR team are doing some real mental gymnastics to protect her clean image. Everything she says in the video is supportive of Kanye and the song, She even says she would publicly dispel any outcry but when the song was released she did the exact opposite. Did you listen to how many times she said she appreciated the call and thanked him? That doesn't sound like someone who is offended by lyrics they may or may not have heard. Anyways, if she never heard the "I made that bitch famous" line, which she seems to refer specially to in the video, then which part of the lyrics did she find misogynistic? Presumably the only other line "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex" which she clearly says she doesn't mind in the video. So...

Also this:
Let me say this.

For TAYLOR SWIFT.... The girl who was in an APPLE AD singing a DRAKE SONG in which words like Bitch, Nigga etc etc are said CONSTANTLY... It is VERY VERY delusional that she at no point figured those words would have been used with her, or about her, or as a term of endearment to her.

She. Is. Lying.

This girl listens to Kendrick and wants to act brand new about a word when her ENTIRE argument was that she never gave approval. Now we have recipts and MULTIPLE witnesses to this and yall still are trying to dig her out of the hole? Take the L. She lost.

This might be the funniest thing of the night.

All eyes were on Taylor tonight, and here comes Selena CHOOSING to walk into this L.

And then she came back for seconds!

Taylor must got some dirt on her or something, because Selena KEEPS jumping in front of this bullet.

The time between tweets is baffling. Did her team not think to get that shit on lockdown?

this dude really in shambles right now I'm done

You were done as soon as I asked you to back up that post. At least 10 posts as you still havent been able to. Dont go out on a limb next time.

That's the worst bit of this. That she listens to Kendrick. hes a spud and almost as overrated as Kanye.

Doesn't matter. She knows "rap". She knows the words that are said. The fact that Kanye had the decency to call her and she said thought she was going to have some special privilege to be the only act in history in which her name in a song would never be followed with and/or by the words "Bitch" in a rap song is so naive and soooooooooooooo boring.

She knew and she wanted to protect her image. And even if she didn't know about the word, the ENTIRE POINT was that it was supposed to be a big joke to spur controversy, which it's doing now because she FLIPPED the script and now she's mad. Nah, this is a girl who's upset that she lost for once and she's trying to find an out.

The fact that she went on stage and gave this massive speech too and now we know that she lied... Come on son. Stop... She lied. No excuses... If she had that much of a prob, She could of had the SAME DECENCY to contact Kanye privately and tell him how she really felt but she and her team went straight to the media because she KNEW that the narrative would automatically paint him as a villain due to his history. She's a snake... Ugh..

Honesty doesn't make you a good person.

Dude is a talented mofo, but he will always be a rapist defender to me.

Did i say anything about him being a good person ? I dont know the dude. And he doesnt have to be a "good" person in front of the camera for me...as long a he is a good father to his kids and husband to his wife.

I do think "Kanye won!" is a hilarious idea.

He really did make a fake song to create a fake controversy and actually talked on the phone for an hour with the pop star he said a fake line about! His reality TV star wife snap-chatted a video of it!

You realise there was a narrative that the incident had made her famous well before this song came out right? Sorry, your lad Kanye didn't come up with it himself.

That is what she's referring to. Not the bitch line.

you guys are killing me

I know basically nothing about Selena Gomez except that she is a former Disney star.

I think it's a bit ridiculous that celebrities need to volunteer to be the voice for each individuals group when called upon.

PR people saying "no thanks" doesn't mean that they don't believe in something or speak out about a cause on their own terms. Celebrities aren't walking benefit machines that bow to your political ambitions.

Well she is the one who tweeted that there is more important things to talk about instead of the Taylor video.

It's incredible that you actually think that in the conversation where Kanye is quoting her lines of the song, she repeats a lyric from the song but it's not actually a lyric, just the concept of her being made famous by Kanye.

Please stop drinking Taylor's koolaid.

None of those are links to what he's asking for. You seem to be a student of the Donald Trump school of dodging.

Lol stop

What's with people running behind Taylor to collect her extra Ls?

His "fact check" is pointless because Taylor still lied about the phone call. Point blank period.

Yes. If she was quoting the song, why not the bitch part? That seems like a large piece to leave out.

Yeah. She wasn't quoting it.

LOL Check out James Comey over here. Beyblades can't spin as fast as you are doing right now.

Yeah. She wasn't quoting it.

Why would she call herself a bitch when she can quote the other part of the line and still get her point across?

Yeah, she was quoting it.

You're ridiculous.

hate to break it to you but your fav loves kendrick..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9qo4QLhPZw

and i also hate to break it to you but he says bitch quite a few times on that song. you think she stays quiet when that word comes on?

Clock! She ain't no saint! 💀💀💀💀

I bet when she's drunk, she refers to all her friends as bitches.."Yas bitch!!"

But she's upset she was called a bitch. Bitch please ✋

Refete it... Like I said, logic doesn't often go down well during puerile circle-jerks. I mean, some flog just said he doesn't mind what Kanye does as long as he's good to his wife and kids. Haha! Kanye West?

Everybody lost.

Seriously. Between Drake "versus" Meek and now this I'm just smh. This shit is embarrassing, buncha middle schooler beefs.

Paint him as a villain? Are you suggesting this is worse than defending Cosby? He painted himself.

It's sad that you think you're being logical.

[edit]

Apart of you has to realize that you're such a big Taylor fan that your judgment of the situation is being clouded, right? There's no way you lack any sense of self awareness to not see this. You want her to be right so you're jumping through hoops to try and think of ways of defending her.

Popfans are weird.

What are you even talking about ? This isnt even about winning and loosing but just being honest about how things went down. T made it look like Kanye didnt run the song/idea by him and played the victim knowing that the public would believe her any and they love to paint Kanye as the villain in the story. When in fact he called her in person and asked if she was cool with it.......

People were okay to shit on Kanye when it looked like he was being an ass gain, now that the picture is more clear everyone wants to dismiss the whole conversation and downplay it...lol

Paint him as a villain? Are you suggesting this is worse than defending Cosby? He painted himself.

Kanye is an asshole and he has owned that many of times... But this time, he certainly wasn't being one. He even had enough RESPECT to approve her line before he added it in because he didn't want any problems... But she fed him to the wolves as soon as that phone call ended. Kanye takes his L's all the time because he isn't afforded the luxury of having anyone defend him. Its time for Taylor to take hers. She lied.

I'm not too in the know but in the video the line that Kanye tells her isn't the same as the final verse and also doesn't include "bitch." Now obviously Taylor was lying about having no knowledge of the verse in general, but is she being honest about not knowing about being called a bitch and that is why she got mad about it?
