Oh wow, never knew Ms. Swift was this hated.

I guess people were just bottling up their fumes waiting for the most opportune time to vent.

And we're done here, folks. LOL

Not gonna lie, this is pretty good.

Kim is ride or die, have to respect that. Feels like she did the GQ interview as a warning to Taylor to set the record straight. Taylor ignored the warning and here we are.

I mean it's undeniable that she does amazing things for them.

It's almost certainly part of her brand but I've seen how happy she's made some people.

I really haven't follow this story enough (neither are really my sort of jam) to make a judgment beyond the video doesn't show her approving that bitch. *shrugs*

And that listening to that recording is awkward as fuck.

That said holy fuck is Selena Gomez a fucking idiot.

You sound a bit in denial, but still wanting to sound reasonable.

Kanye has told the truth. We can assume that everything else is true (sending her the song which she had no problem with). He's vindicated.

Taylor has been caught lying, and still tries to inject denial by grasping (even moved goal posts). But at this point she's probably still lying, spinning, and just gets the L.

What's the overall effect? Not much other than being entertained.

The song Swift ghostwrote for her ex Calvin outpaces Kanye's entire catalogue and that's before anyone even knew it was her.

That's just me though.

She makes generic
pop albums that have never had universal acclaim, he changes his style on every album and nearly every album is critically acclaimed, you are objectively wrong in thinking she is better than him. Her whole persona is faked and has been exposed, Kanye is a dick but he admits it and owns it. Better to be a dick and admit it than be fake as fuck and cause problems secretly.

I'm no expert but yall both might need a saddle for that riding

Laughable. You're stringing together pieces of information and trying to complete a puzzle, but you're missing so many pieces. She was clearly referring to the incident, not the line. And if she was referring to the line, why is there no video evidence of that, which is the smoking gun here? They recorded everything else. Why not the most important bit? You wanna know why? Because he didn't play it to her. Simple. Sorry, but I want to see receipts. Until then, keep swinging.

She's not referring to the incident because she's speaking of a hypothetical conversation with members of the press about her thoughts on the song. There is not one moment during that specific dialogue where she switches gears and changes the subject to anything else other than the being questioned about the song. This is a fact because those are her words recorded on video.

Once again you continue to ignore the facts of the situation. She said that Kanye only asked her to release the video on twitter. She said that she didn't give him approval. She said that she warned him of releasing a song with a misogynistic message. She dissed him during her Grammy's acceptance speech for taking credit for her accomplishments. She got caught lying about all the above and is now playing the only card she has left which is the, "he called me a bitch" card. Now you're bringing up that he didn't play it for her while ignoring what the thread is actually about. You've had receipts thrown in your face for 20 pages from multiple posters but you still choose to ignore them. It's starting to feel like I'm arguing with my uncle about climate change, so I'm moving on.

Or maybe I'm just reasonable?

Frankly I seriously haven't followed this enough and probably shouldn't have waded in at all. I just really have enjoyed the random stories about Swift and her fan interactions.

So I'll take the duly educated L myself.

She's a liar.

I still think the Selena Gomez thing is the most impressive thing to come out of this though

Maybe she can be the villain in the next Ghostbusters movie cause someone is gonna need to contain that dead career of hers.

People hate the persona. So many people looking up to fake role models. She is like a real life MCU character which is actually worse than looking up to Captain America or something, there at least you know its 100% fiction. And when stuff like this comes up of course everyone will react accordingly.

With Ye at least you know what you get, batshit insanity.

"Kim Kardashian's net worth of $150 million is 2.5 times bigger than her husband Kanye West's net worth of $62 million. The combined Kanye West and Kim Kardashian net worth figure is $212 million."

What a talentless hack. She doesn't even rap or play an instrument

Who gives a shit?

It's a woman with no talent attacking a woman with a brand using an illegal recording of a conversation woman two had with an idiot.

And it got to 20 pages.

Oh, Gaf...

Wtf is this? Kim wouldn't be famous if she didn't have a ¨brand¨. She works hard to be the woman we see in social media everyday, whether you'd like to believe it or not. Almost every moment of her life is in the public eye, I don't think she deserves the hate she gets. Especially when she hasn't done shit to impact your life in a negative way. I'm not the biggest fan of the woman, but she works hard to stay relevant and on top.

Almost all of that is conjecture and laughable interpretation. Show me the video of her approving the bitch lyrics, because after all this you still cannot and that's the smoking gun. It's so simple. Surely they filmed it considering they filmed the rest, right? I assume Kim will post it in a few hours. Right?

PS. Your uncle is right. Climate change is man-made. You need to accept it. Stop being wrong about everything. :D

So that doesn't show him telling her the whole lyrics. Are people retarded?

As many have proved in this thread, yes.

Beautiful.

I'm probably a bit biased towards Swift though, as I find what she does for her fans incredibly endearing.

That's just bias for the actual truth that people can lie, or generally do other putatively bad things, and still do good things as well. Everyone's like that, Tay is also probably a good person who like everyone else has fucked up in some ways.

But let's stop lest we treat these women like humans.

Her talent is ether and monetizing her family.

Given the statements released by Taylor's camp about what they claimed the conversation was about, and what you've just heard, why would you give Taylor the benefit of the doubt?

The person speaking to Kanye there doesn't sound like someone who would completely switch and throw him under the bus just for adding an unapproved "bitch" - assuming it was unapproved. No matter which direction you approach this, Swift looks really bad and two-faced - and the fact her camp was so brazen to do this to another high-profile celebrity is everything you need to know about how much faith they have in the image they've created and what they can get away with.

I dont understand people who are like "ololol celeb drama theres more important stuff in the world blabla", Taylor slandered Ye in front of a huge audience so he's not allowed to have a rebutal and tell the truth?

SMDH. You're right, it is just you

Yeah, but consider this. With the energy you used to type those 140 characters for a tweet, you could have personally fed a starving child in Africa

In California you have to have both parties consent to record a conversation. In fact Kim and company could open themselves up to legal action against them if Swift is so inclined.

I've heard there's a loophole there if you record the person on speakerphone, which is what Kanye was doing.

Anything that doesn't fit people's image of Kanye isn't allowed.

True, it's all about the expectation of privacy. This will lead to depositions of whether Swift knew she was on speaker. Anyway, I wouldn't bother with civil action. It would just keep this in the press longer and be a huge unnecessary legal bill. Do something like Drake did when he got into an argument with another artist, release a song that lowers the West family down a peg or two. Then the drama makes everyone money.
