It's on way to its 20 million downloads... in less than six hours on Android.
Holy crap. Is that iOS or Android or both?
Edited, only Android. I guess you have seen this. If not, the government sent some advices to people at the moment of playing GO! in Japan.
That's like 15% of the entire of population.

I've been watching a few streams, the Japanese fan-base seem to really be "loving it" (pun not intended...well...maybe a bit). Judging from the tweets, that seems to definitely be the case.
I'm really interested in seeing how this ends up.
Shibuya crossing. Didn't see a single person using it yet. The confetti Pokestop is Shibuya 109.
Will probably be packed tonight, so I'll check it out again later.
Quick thought on this image; there is a McDonalds just off the right side to the map there and with Shibuya Station itself being a gym, I'm surprised that there are two gyms so close together...!

Noticed that the servers were up on the way home from work this afternoon! Instead of taking my usual route home, I ended up following the Pokestops home. 
I don't live in the city, but my suburban area still had several Pokestops. Somebody had even put out a lure near the hospital, too! Went out for a walk around my neighbourhood and caught everything I could find (heaps of Doduos!), and hit level 5 before I got home again.
Noticed a lot of people in my area with their phones open as they were walking/biking, so it was pretty easy to tell who was playing.
I hear it's good to catch anything you can find, even if it's a double (or should I say, do-double) up.
. . . I have thirteen Doduos, for cryin' out loud!

Transfer your crappiest ones and they will become candy you can use to level up your good one.

After having quite a good few days with little problems i level up to 20 today and get a couple of lures.
Decide to use one at work since i can reach a stop from my desk and about 15-20 minutes in the servers go down so i didnt get to use the whole thing

Yeah its down here in Kagoshima too. We were on our way back from the main station here and it went down as we were about to farm up Dratini.
Also a Staryu showed up randomly me and a bunch of people went to catch it and nothing. There was also a really strong Squirtle that we could not catch before it ran away since the game was lagging out of control.
Fun while it lasted but seems like most are off school and work so it finally broke down. One more Venonat to max my Venomoth!
Also we took a gym and literally after we did it some girl walked up behind us and took it right back for team red... yellow hurts yo.
Was fun to just walk around with friends, get some supersize, ice cream, watch all the people playing, the mall packed with players, seeing my students random places camped out playing.

Finally went out and tried it out. Not only was it the most fun mobile game I've played in ages, but I saw so many people at the park as well playing the game. Even in my small area of Japan it's huge. So many excited people. Had a great time, until the server went down a few minutes ago. Watching the news now and it's amazing to see it one of the big stories. What a phenomenon. Can't wait to play more this weekend.
