Kaine has his heart in the right place, but I'm not a big fan of this speech. It just seems disjointed for some reason.

I've figured out what Kaine can't do well -- he has no comedic (or speaking) timing. He doesn't know when to pause properly or when to not pause. Basically, his cadence is not very good.

I think he has those things but not on this grand of a stage. I would imagine it will come with time but this large of a crowd you don't keep asking questions to and then duplicating your phrases.
