Mike's a former reviewer who now works for Alamo Drafthouse (and probably has heard some things) and Ana's a current film writer.

Get ready for those Chris Evans gifs!

Got my folder ready.

please be good, I want my man Will to get back on track

Does internet meltdown mean good or bad reviews?

i think i know the answer but i'm afraid to say it :(

Higher RT than Civil War, the true meltdown.

Lol, at this point I expect BvS reviews all over again

Man, I would be shocked if this got bad reviews.
While I don't like the DC movies leading up to this or have any particular interest in this, it just looks fairly good/decent.

someone who saw it at a premiere just told me they thought it was quite bad.

"SS is like a 4-5
It's main issue is that it had to introduce too many characters to the audience and it spent way too long building their characters from scratch
Some people enjoyed it, but most of the people who spoke to afterwards really weren't liking it"

except for Sabotage (which was still okay as far as action films go) David Ayer has a good track record. I would expect this be to critically very positive.

Damn, so it might not even hit 60% at this rate :\ DC keeps losing.
Older brother. Jared is in his 40s, Auron is in his mid 30s aka Old As Fuck by JRPG standards.
How the hell is Auron in his 30s? Dude looks like late 40s-early 50s. -_-

I'd believe that.

I wonder how the reception is going to differ between say comic nerds and general blockbuster audiences.

But James Gunn pulled it off just fine 😕

Obviously I haven't seen it, but spending a lot of time with exposition introducing characters is something that I was kind of afraid of. I would have much preferred just let the characters unfold more naturally rather than having dialogue telling you who they are and what they can do. Maybe it doesn't come across that way when you actually watch it, but a few of the clip seem to indicate that was the case.

Way too long? Lol their intros were absurdly fast. That was the most disappointing thing to me besides the goofy CG stuff

Man I really hope this is good, I want the DCEU to be successful. I like the Marvel movies but the DC heroes are on another level with me.

If WB whiffed on this one, it'll be an 11-month wait for another shot.

I wonder what stops this current DC universe train.

They've committed to Wonder Women and reluctantly I imagine, Justice League with Snyder. Beyond that, nothing in the works except a tentative Affleck Batman solo film at early stages. I think worse comes to worse, they'll cherry pick good characters and the actors then move down a new road. Rely on Batman once again for a few films, ignore Superman then start over with a new cast, younger Batman, new Superman actor, Lex etc.

Hopefully Ayer doesn't do another Sabotage because that was absolute shit except for the ending scenes. His other other films were decent to good.
