Am I right to assume the PC preload isn't yet available for us mere mortals? I finally got the W10 anniversary update to stick (the less said about that, the better) and could see the Ultimate Edition listed in my library. Hit the install button and after a few seconds, that was it... the button grayed out to 'manage'. I would much rather get the 60GB download out of the way before next Friday, have there been any updates on when preloading will be possible?

Unfortunately you are right. If Recore is anything to go by, it will be available three days before launch. So if we're lucky, it's 20th for all.

One thing that stands out about all of these off-road vehicles though is that the tread on the tires never breaks the perfectly round silhouette of the object. I guess it must not work with their motion blurring method?

The treads might just be a texture on a round object.

So are Xbox and PC players able to play this together? Sorry if this has been asked before, I skimmed through the thread and didn't see it. I'm considering getting a Xbox One S and one of the games I really want is Forza Horizon 3. I'd love to be able to play this with a friend who is getting it on his PC because he has one capable of running it, which I do not at this time. Would we still be able to play together?

Yes! :)

Indeedio. Super cool. I gave my XB1 to my brother and will be playing this with him using my PC. Love it.

Guessing you both have to purchase the game?

Someone said something about making your Xbox your home console then on Windows it can pick up any games another gamertag installs on that xbox? probably BS though.

Probably just too much geometry; rims and I assume wheels models get swapped with lower poly versions anyway when they start spinning faster.

Oh wow, I need to test this out before my brother buys a XB1 copy.

He needs to use his account on the Xbox and it has to be set to your home console. DLC can't be shared. So the VIP pass and extra cars won't work for him. Could also be the early access doesn't work.

Any of the three editions come with both versions (Win10 and X1) ?

So, if I want the Deluxe one, I can buy two $20 gift cards and one $50 from the Singapore store?

Btw, isn't it cheaper to just buy the game directly from the singapore xbox store and pay the fullprice with Paypal?

Well, the first question is a yes, but what about the oter two?

If I go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-sg/store/p/forza-horizon-3-deluxe-edition/9nblggh4rq44 and click on pre-order I have the option to pay with credit card, paypal and gift cards, I don't have to go through buying gift cards and redeem codes.

Played the demo today and WOW! the game is stunning, even an improvement over FH2, which is already beautiful. (Xbox One). Can't wait to fully explore this world.

I want to give him my XB1, so I would not have anymore.

Would it still work?

My friend and I shared Horizon 2 and Motorsport 6, all of the DLC cars are shared except you don't get them free in-game, and also VIP status doesn't share but the cars associated with it does. Early access does indeed share as well, as I found out with Forza 6.

For those looking to game share, it works awesomely, but do note that if you find yourself gaming offline, you'll be limited only to the games library of the account that set that console as the home console.
Game sharing is what pushed me into the digital age, and my friend and I constantly surprise each other with purchases which download automatically to the Xbox; I highly suggest it.

Got my code through for the Warthog last night, played like 30 minutes of the Master Chief Colleciton back at launch.

Man the diversity in this game is something else. Combine that with the lack of invisible walls and the ability to drive through water and I'm almost getting irrationally excited. Like, you can drive off cliffs and along the beach and into the fucking ocean, then travel through the rainforest along a dirt track, eventually reaching a desert where you can jump dunes and ford creeks and shit. It's crazy.

I also never realised until now that the backdrop you pass at the start of the game is just the rest of the map:

You can literally drive everywhere you see there. That's mindblowing to me.

What? How can I play the same game, from the same account simultaneously through two different platforms? I read somewhere that you can't be logged in at the same time to play the game which makes sense.

Not the same account. Profiles on the Xbox can play games owned by other accounts if the Xbox is set as the home console. So you'd play your own profile (the owner) on the PC and the other person would play on the Xbox.

Read through the replies I got to that very same question earlier.

All this gives me fond nostalgic feels for the huge sense of endless exploration that could be had in Codemasters' FUEL.
