Giant Bomb PSVR stream | It's always Summer in PlayStation VR Nation

Maybe this game si fun to play, but exremely boring to see someone playing...

And with all these movements looks like he's trying to get sick again... XD

Giant Bomb tries to make everything I love look bad. It's sad because so many people follow them and let them decide their opinion for them. First Shenmue, now this. I played PSVR and had no issues.

I don't think you have to try to make Shenmue look bad.

Well yeah, as much as I like Jeff, his ties to Phil Spencer and MS does obviously influence him.

I don't think anyone can deny what you're saying hand on heart.
I can. I'm all Sony this gen and I can see the problems happening on screen in front of me. Are you saying I'm deluded?

These guys are professional's, you're not.

But how long of a session did you play? This is the argument that comes up.

I played PSVR at multiple events like they did and like they said no problems but when they sit down at home for long sessions you start to come across problems.

Looks ok for a console VR, And cheap too.

So because someone doesn't like it they have to be paid by MS? Really?

Having tried Vive, its much better. And more expensive of course.

They were talking about Jeff Minter before. There's a retro games expo in Manchester this weekend called Play Expo, he's been there every year I think (certainly every year I've gone). If he's going to announce his VR thing in the next couple of days it might be there

It's very rare these days that game sites are useful for me, but this stream really was. I was feeling the "new gadget lure" of PSVR and this was a very clear demonstration that it is not worth it at this stage.

Much more valuable than all the text reviews in the review thread.

This conclusion is too reasonable for this thread

im about 7 episodes into the shenmue endurance run.

giant bomb doesnt have to do much else besides "play the game" to make it look bad

On a serious note, like 95% of the experiences with VR on the more expensive Oculus and Vive hardware looked like trash. It's no surprise that the lower cost PSVR seems worse.

Starting to feel some relief from cancelling my PSVR order two weeks ago. I realized that I didn't want to be an early supporter for VR as the money is too much to waste on something so new. I'm hopeful that we'll see some improvements in the next 6 months.

Remember the forum you're on guys

this is VR's first real "consumer" outing, IMO. The first thing the average customer might take notice of. VR's first real introduction to the general consumers. IMO.

Which is exactly why i dont want it. Ive gotten to the point where I think a lot of people here are right now, where PSVR just screams "early adopters only"

I don't know what people were expecting? Super polished experiences? This is VR in it's infancy. Jank is a part of the deal. A majority of GB's VR streams and VRodeo's using Vive and Oculus come off feeling the same way as this one.
