Overwatch Sombra ARG - No one is ready for Sombra [Up2: New Model Leaks]

I found this on Reddit and I'm stealing it for the new page. It's about what's going on so far:

1) New text: Bastion Unit E-54 compromised.
2) Inside Html code we find a comment with an Overwatch version: v1.4.0.2.324??
3) Apparently PS4 and XBOX1 updated and a glitch has surfaced that changes the total number of objects for each hero to a greater number after selecting a hero to view in Hero Gallery or going back to the menu.
  • The Bastion video has always been like that
  • The string with characters in Overwatch forums is 1 month old
  • The "Viento..." Quote in the "?" achievement in overwatch.com is old
  • Overwatch.com is taking time to load cause' everyone is trying to enter
  • PTR has been down for days.
  • The Sombra Forum post with the long string of numbers is also old
  • The overwatch.com website is owned by Textron for years, it's a real company
  • The poster behind Reinhardt on his hero page was already in beta
  • playoverwatch.us is not owned by Blizzard
  • Any reference by third companies or twitter accounts is FALSE

Blizzard was at least kind enough to implement the Sombra Hype Train in-game:

Then you would fail your spanish test, the "reflexive form" "se ha comprometido" is used for wedding-engagements-relationships.
If you use like you suggest "Ella ha sido comprometida" for wedding-engagements-relationships context, you would be implying that she is engaged against her will since "ha sido" means that action was done by other person. You have mixed-up your examples.
For wedding-engagements-relationships a native Spanish speaker will use:
- "Ella se ha comprometido" o "Ella se comprometió"

If a native Spanish speaker wants to say "compromised" then the correct way will be
- Ella ha sido comprometida" since like I said before the "ha sido" means that the action was executed/done by a third party and not the subject in question.

This is correct and there should be no debate. Another Spanish gaffer.

Even they announce it at Blizzcon we won't get it until like Nov 7. I wonder if they were gonna announce her today but cause of Red Dead 2 they didn't.

seeing as how OW = PC community first, I doubt it. RDR2 is all about console, a space where Blizz doesn't seem to give any serious fucks. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Quick question. Are you Spanish or Mexican? I am wondering if some of this argument is partly because of the slight difference in castellano and Mexican Spanish uses as we do tend to do things a little differently from one another.

4) Apparently Bastion's RIP pose blinks when in Normal skin only. It apparently is morse Code. Investigation is on the way.
That is ALL

It took them months for this? Hopefully they speed things up.

I'm Spanish and in castellano at least the sentence's meaning is clear, not sure if in South America they use comprometido in a different way to be honest.

I'm not sure if people realise this, but the amount of information about Sombra through this ARG system that we've received is effectively zero.

We knew from the Reaper voiceline that she's a female.
We knew from the Ana trailer that she's a coder/hacker who likes to be mysteriously cryptic.

We still, after months and months, only (officially) know that she's a female, who likes to hack cryptic spanish code.

She also likes skulls...

From alleged leaks we also know her appearance and alleged skillset.

Her appearance was not officially released through the ARG, so we still received literally nothing and we are still no sure if that image is true or if it's been fabricated.

I mean it had a description of the co-op mode before it was revealed, I'm 100% sure it was real

lmao, waittttt! xD

Blizz said they would consider removing Symm from 'supports' rather than add a healing aspect to her abilities, so Sombra probs won't be support unless she heals somehow. I also don't think Blizz would give someone that kind of power over another character; I mean even sleep-darted enemies can be woken up if they take damage. But if she does have some kind of ability disabling ability it will likely 1) have a long cooldown, and 2) last only a few seconds (ala discord).

anyway, I think she might have an ability to 'hack' cooldowns - lengthen an enemy's cooldown for an ability, shorten an ally's cooldown for an ability or something? And it only lasts a few seconds and only if the enemy is in her immediate vicinity, perhaps? Maybe, she has an ability where she can 'hack' health packs, replacing them w/ poison? LOL

i think she'll be a low health high damage DPS, because why not? LOL

At this point I won't use Sombra just on pure prínciple. She's gonna be a shitty character to play, probably, and if not, the hype will crush over her making seem like she is one.

Gg, Blizzard.

It turns out people don't like when you have a two month countdown lead to a vague sentence and nothing else.

This is such a common sense comment that I have a hard time believing that this was how they planned it. It really seems like a huge stretch of the imagination that everyone involved in this said to themselves "Yep...this is going to be the best way to do an ARG EVER!" I suspect something went wrong. Perhaps development on the character ran into problems and they didn't feel confident launching her. It'd be interesting to find out what really went down but even if we don't then I hope this is a good learning experience for them and how they approach character reveals.

They probably planned to have a Sombra Short but not enough people bought Halloween loot crates. And this is why you never ask for alternate ways of getting event skins. /s

Any idea when a possible theoretical patch would hit, if it did? Blizzard normally updates games on Tuesday, no?

There was a small PSN patch, nothing major.

For PC people were hoping for PTR to be up, some thought PTR was taken down and got excited, but a kind person said PTR being down wasn't new, it's been down for a while.

It's possible that nothing important will happen today.

Next week on LOST.
