Yeah, it was announced a while. Basically Disney's strategy seems to be filling the gaps between episodic releases with standalone films.

I love Community-era Donald Glover but he seems to be slowly losing his marbles after the left that show.

Regardless, I can't picture him as Lando in my head, but Disney doesn't play around with casting, so we should be in for a treat.
