Everyone keeps talking about Trump but no one takes about Mike Pence, one of the most dangerous Republican loons in the country that believes in Conversion therapy for gays and doesn't believe smoking causes cancer.

If Trump wins, Mike Pence will be the real president and you can bet your ass that he will rubber stamp everything Paul Ryan sends his way.

Let's just hope we don't blow this.

Wouldn't be the first time we'd had a devil as a VP with acting president powers

Alright gaf be real with me, does trump have any shot what's so ever or can I go to sleep without a worry here? Cause I'm worried here right now and can't sleep, I need me some reassurance.

What are you even worried about? I'd probably get deported if he wins hahah

Samantha Bee's segment on Hillary makes me mad at the world.

this is your time " Hillary Goddamn Brilliant Queen Beyonce Rodham" go get them.

Watching his rally was just absurd. There's politicising and then there's just making claims that aren't possible. He's talking about opening factories and car manufacturing plants and stuff - all things that can't and won't happen. He just says what -insert state name- wants to hear and they lap it up. Its so depressing. I'm so anxious and I'm not even American. Smashing a few beers to relax. Hoping to wake to good news in the morning!

It's so hard discussing this with people.

"Yeah, but Clinton also just says what people want to hear."
"Yeah, but Clinton also lies."

I mean, it's very hard to combat.

Why do you even bother?

Would you try to argue with someone who still believes the earth is flat? There's no point.

I'm an immigrant, so yeah, fuck Trump. May he lose. Also, being a transgender woman, I worry for the lgbtq+ community in this country, so double fuck him, and Pence too.

I put all my faith in the citizens of this country now, that they'll elect the most qualified candidate in Hillary. This is completely out of my hands.

It's always the ones living in other countries that make by far the least informed and most laughable generalizations about the U.S. Election.

When international polls have all shown that nearly all countries (aside from Russia) completely reject Trump?

I think you're mistaken. I think that, on average, outsiders have a WAY more healthy perspective on things.

Go to sleep. It´s basically white old-middle age people vs every other demographic in USA, Trump would need a miracle to win the states he need.

So I just noticed everyone in the rThe_Donald sub-Reddit types in all caps.... Why is that?

Was that a sub Reddit for people with stuck caps before the election?

Lord Ashcroft (UK Pollster) on Sky News

Has spent the last 6 months doing focus groups in USA

3 things he noted that kept coming up

it nearly always ended up with the group talking about personalty rather than policy...

people who admitted they were voting Trump had not told their friends and family, and finally a recurring theme was about the debates, with people feeling it was a given Hilary would win the debates because she has had 30 years practice...

When pushed on who would win.... He was on the fence, he said most pollsters go for Hilary, however he believes it will come down to turnout

Yeah, there's no winning with people. It's impossible for her to prove her commitment to any of the issues without her actually being president and doing this shit (unless you look at her voting record in the Senate and activism in public life, but even then I've heard people argue that was only a means to an end of becoming president and doing a total 180 on her platform because durrrrrr).

Of course, she could end up being the most progressive president this side of FDR and people will still doubt her sincerity. Whenever she signs a law they'll call it pandering or argue that she doesn't really believe it as if that fucking means something.

so like brexit ? and it still happend :(

This is not a referendum, it´s not a Yes vs a No ballot on a national scale. You need to win key states and the ones that Trump need are not looking good for him. The demographics are not the same neither.

It COULD happen, but it´s way easier for Hillary to get it. She has multiple paths, Trump just have a narrow one. It would need a major fuckup from Hillary camp and Trump camp doing at its best.

Ok sorry not sorry but I've got to say it. I'm extremely annoyed with all this concern trolling I see in this tread from posters not from the US.

You people do realize you are posting on an extremely left leaning message board right? Telling us to "do the right thing" is very condescending and insulting. Almost all of us are "doing the right thing".

Take a look at an electoral college map or something. Educate yourselves and quit coming in here sounding dumb.

Also you people can fuck off with this best of two bad choices bullshit. Hillary is hands down the most qualified candidate to ever run for president.

Don't take it as lecturing you Rob. Take it as expressing solidarity. Besides, it is maybe all we can do to help. GAf may be left-leaning, but perhaps there are lurkers who are not, or who at least undecided. It does no harm, and may do some good, to show support from others around the world.

And yes, people can fuck off with the lesser of two evils thing.

I know paths. I have the best paths, believe me.

Good luck today America. I would say 'Best of British' to you but really, that's not what it used to be.

The racist and stupid won in my country a few months ago, fingers crossed that doesn't happen in the USA today.

^is that John Quincy? It's a shame he didn't get two terms.

To Rob's sentiment: God forbid people from other countries be concerned that the most powerful nation in the world might elect a egomaniac. Trolls amirite.

Yeah that's just the one guy. A lot of us know America is looked up to around the world and don't take the well meaning posts as condescending/trolling.

Hillary's got this. I'm omw to vote right now

I really hope if Hillary wins one of the mods will immediately turn that place into r/The_Hillary and auto play "Celebration" just to piss off everyone there. At least that would show it was just a troll subreddit all along.

Hellfire and no more Taco Tuesday's.

Can't wait to see the outcome off from all this, hopefully everybody is mature after it's over. The last thing this country needs is for shit to break out in chaos over someone losing.

I mean, I know the most vocal ppl online don't represent the entirety of his fanbase but what we're seeing on various discussion sites and at televised rallies...

Those people aren't just going away quietly now. They've been united and given a stage, a loud voice. Not a chance they just let that slip away and return to being quietly crazy alone.

To what extent they can actually cause chaos or dispute/disrupt any processes I have no idea, but I'm convinced we will be hearing about this for a long, long time.

Lol. God forbid people from other countries be concerned that the most powerful nation in the world might elect a egomaniac. Trolls amirite.

Well personally I don't really give much of a shit what they think about it. It's our election, not theirs.

It reminds me of when Obama went over to the UK and tried to preach at the British to stay in the EU. Even as an American it rubbed me wrong and came off as incredibly tone deaf. Concern trolling from foreigners is at best annoying and at worst patronizing as fuck. Leave us alone and let us make our own bed as we've been doing for the last 200+ years, please.

EDIT: and yeah that's Quincy, who is BY FAR the most experienced person ever elected to the office.

chill out there's nothing wrong with people being interested in our election.

It's not like they can actually vote in it anyway let them discuss. The more discussion the better.

In the world of online forums, Does it feel like it's "Neogaf vs The Internet" during this entire election? I can't think of another place that is super pro-Clinton as this.
