So I have a question, as I am legitimately curious and as part of my job I had to survey my voting location, but how easily accessible was it for people with disabilities to vote in your voting location?
And I mean was it easily accessible for those in wheelchairs or who have difficulty walking unassisted? Was there enough room for adaptive equipment like a motorized chair or walker or assistive breathing devices? Did the actual voting process, by machine or paper or however, have assistance for those unable to write or use their hands themselves? Were there devices to let those with disabilities mark down their votes?
I know that for many locations we surveyed there were very few systems in place to make it easier for disabled people to vote. Hell, one place in Boston had a single stair entrance meaning if you were in a wheelchair you could not get in the building to vote.

All one level with wheelchair doors--an elementary school gymnasium. There was a woman at the desk next to me when I signed in asking an official about bringing her elderly mother in to vote. She said she didn't walk well and the official promptly told her they had wheelchairs available for people to use. We use paper ballots at standing booths but they had a table set up for people in chairs who wouldn't be able to reach the booth. I'm not sure about the other questions but I'm guessing people in those situations would have preferred to request an absentee ballot and vote at home with help from family or a caregiver.

As a European this has been both fascinating and frightening to follow even though we have nothing to feel superior about. We have our own Trumpites here, all across the continent.
I'll be following all night/morning to see how it ends, though I have no doubt that the majority of the US is sensible enough to not vote that orange baboon in office. I'll also hope that the senate turns blue again.

Counts will come in around 8PM EST tonight. Around 11PM EST we should know who the president is.
It only takes longer if it's a tight election and there's an issue counting votes with a certain state.

If it's decisive it will be projected as soon as polls close on the west coast, so about 8 o'clock or so in Pacific time. If it's close, we'll probably have a pretty good idea by tomorrow morning. If it's a Florida 2000 situation, God help us all.

Went and voted a few hours ago. My brother was a few places ahead of me in line (he left before I did, and I wouldn't ride with him anyway, I can't stand his driving. And he gets carsick if I drive, heh).
Anyways, there was a sizable line but nothing too bad. My mother is one of the poll workers, she was a bit exhausted (and this was only about 11 am) because they didn't have enough workers for anyone to take a break, which just...what the hell? I was baffled. I even volunteered (months ago) to work the election but wasn't called, so its not like they were short of volunteers. I hope my mother got a break.
Nothing bad happened at the polls though, people were friendly. Talked to my brother afterward about how he voted, and I was actually surprised. My brother is very libertarian, but he had mused voting Trump early in the election cycle. I had a feeling he wouldn't, but still, there was some worry. He didn't, in the end, so I figured he voted Johnson, to which he laughed.
No, he wrote-in Jim Webb. Which blew my mind. My brother voting for a democrat? Even a write-in? What a strange world we live in...

My sons kindergarten class held a mock election yesterday. Not sure what the exact count was, but Hillary won. I'll take that as a good sign. (Also I just came back from voting Hill and am feeling pumped to explain to my son why this is all such a big deal).
