And now you know what a huge portion of this country's population is like. There's a reason why minorities generally only live in certain states of this country.

I've always known there was a significant minority who held these views, but they're not the whole of the electorate or even a majority. Unless it's only whites who are voting, there is a sizeable percentage from minority groups who are voting for someone who has flat out said he's going to treat them like criminals and outcasts.

Side note: if it really is only racist white shitheads voting, well, we deserve everything that's coming our way. It wasn't a secret what the choices were. Brexit is a very apt comparison here; no one thought it was going to happen, until it did.

You think this country hates you because they voted for someone you don't agree with? The "country" does not hate you because you're a black woman. There are 330 million people in this country, 28% of which are non-white. About 50% are women. Not every man, or white man, hates you. Of course there's assholes out there, but don't ignore that many people (very) begrudgingly voted for Trump, and actively dislike him. Part of the reason Trump got this far is because people also hate Clinton...Trump running against Al Gore or Obama would have turned out differently.

And single issue voters. It's hard to convince someone who has their mind made up on a candidate if that person is promising them jobs or whatever, regardless of their other positions. Like they say, its not personal, it's politics.
