Voting trump may not mean you're a racist, sexist bigot but it does mean you're supporting one becoming the POTUS. Supporting someone so outwardly sexist and racist into holding such a position of power means you are supporting racism and sexism. Not only are you not fighting against these prejudices you are actively supporting them. As far as I'm concerned that essentially means you're supporting those things whether intended or not.

Now I'm not saying that the democrats should focus on this for their campaign. Much like With brexit I think attacking trump and his supporters has only encouraged people to vote for him and played into his hands claiming about conspiracies. I'm just talking about individuals trying to rationalise away the consequences of their actions. Whatever your personal beliefs are if you voted trump then you support racism, sexism and bigotry. If Trump can get rid of the corruption in Washington, it would certainly be a step forward. However, it is a promise made by a man who lies more in a week than some politicians during an entire term.
