Voting trump may not mean you're a racist, sexist bigot but it does mean you're supporting one becoming the POTUS. Supporting someone so outwardly sexist and racist into holding such a position of power means you are supporting racism and sexism. Not only are you not fighting against these prejudices you are actively supporting them. As far as I'm concerned that essentially means you're supporting those things whether intended or not.
Now I'm not saying that the democrats should focus on this for their campaign. Much like With brexit I think attacking trump and his supporters has only encouraged people to vote for him and played into his hands claiming about conspiracies. I'm just talking about individuals trying to rationalise away the consequences of their actions. Whatever your personal beliefs are if you voted trump then you support racism, sexism and bigotry. Whether or not you're actually sexist or racist doesn't matter in the ends because you're empowering those who are which is essentially the same thing.
is nate silver the biggest fucking genius out?
And that's it.
We're done.
Hillary was a terrible candidate.
Not really, feels bad. We get affected the most from American policies.
You are okay with enabling and empowering racism and bigotry. You are just as bad.
I'm most certainly not, lol. I also voted for Romney. Now admittedly, I don't agree with the things from the past that people have brought up, but they are just that.. The past.
I liked Obama, but I just don't like Hillary. Something seems off about her to me.
No hate though. I just hate that I have to feel scared to say I'm voting trump.
This.
Fuck Trump voters. Hillary was right in calling them deplorable.
I hope this mobilizes the fuck out of Democratic voters in 2018.
I'm not gonna say it better myself, so here:
Trump just flipped Pennsylvania. It's over.
What? This is perfect for South Park
Not really, feels bad. We get affected the most from American policies.
Your country isn't racist. It just has more racist voters than non-racist voters. This confirms America is racist?
Yeah, I voted for him in the state of Florida and I'm glad I did. And I generally kept quiet about it because if we showed support for him we are immediately accused of being racist, sexist, or some other awful title even though we aren't. We are tired of the status quo and corruption in the US government. Trump isn't the ideal choice, but he is a whole hell of a lot better than Clinton and the status quo that the majority of America is tired of. #DrainTheSwamp #BuildThatWall
