We can't blame this solely on racism. Anti-intellectual and anti-establishment sentiments are strong elements of Trumps campaign as well. The vast amount of misinformation that goes unchecked or ignored by the media doesn't help either. Trying to read the hearts of the American people is difficult when so many of them are misinformed.
 
She is down over a million fucking votes for the popular. This is a landslide win for Trump. I was a firm believer Trump had no chance this entire time.
 
I blame the DNC. Hillary's coronation was just awful.

I held my nose and voted Hillary, but Bernie was robbed. And we were robbed of the only candidate running who truely gave a shit about the middle class.

Even though I've always loved Jon Stewart, I used to think this was a ridiculous idea. But now.... I mean if we're electing TV celebrities as POTUS then I'll take Jon Stewart in a heartbeat. It doesn't seem far-fetched in the least anymore. At least he's thoughtful and has a heart for others.
 
Hillary was by all standards a good candidate. Americans apparently think life is a TV show and likes shitty empty slogans. Ya'll would rather have your Scandal show come to life than get something kinda boring.

Voting Trump at best shows white privilege to such an obscene amount that minorities may as well be invisible and at worse....well you already know.

Both are horrible. Both contribute to a racist system that will continue to keep minorities down. Both means your (Trump supporters) are shitty human beings.

So no, not every Trump supporter is a racist. But each one displays an incredibly disgusting amount of privilege.

But if Trump's statements are anything to go by, it massively increases the risk of war in Europe for everyone else. As a Swede, I'm terrified of the implications of this. We're not part of NATO but we will absolutely get dragged in regardless. I think it's time I started stocking food and water, we're not self-sufficient and if war disrupts trade, we might actually get hit by starvation.

I hope that when this leads to lives of gaffes being directly negatively impacted with things like Gay marriage the Trump supporters here will take responsibility and not suddenly go into hiding. Supporting Trump? Fine. But then be a man and be honest when confronted with the consequences of your actions.
 
You don't have to pick a politician for the 2020 Dem nominee. Trump proved that you don't need experience.

Jon Stewart will counter with his own movement.

Thing is it wasn't just rural America. A ton of counties that went to Democrats in many of the previous cycles went to Trump instead or are much closer than previous cycles
Turns out Hilary was a damn near death sentence for Democrats.
