Just hit Poni, current team:

Lycanroc-Midday (44)
Ninetails-A (44)
Golisopod (44)
Decidueye (45)
Salazzle (44)
Raichu-A (45)

I was not expecting the story to try and out-crazy Black and White this early.

Y'all guys play too fast.

I just reached the end of the first island.

Maybe you all need to slow down and use a party of 6 Grubbins that you never evolved and pet them all after every match like me.

I just finished the first island myself and haven't run into any Grubbin. Where'd you find 'em?

I think I actually lucked out on a couple rare mons because I'd go to each section of grass in every area and fight 5 times and then fuck off, and got a couple weird call-ins from SOS Pokemons.

Like I got a Sableye randomly

Just want to say how pleasantly surprised I am by Wishiwashi. This guy has more or less been one/two-shotting everything so far.

Man, it's weird how many people on youtube pronounce golisopod as go-liss-o-pod. It's a mix of goliath and isopod, so it should be go-lie-so-pod. It works doubly since the middle sounds like "lice" and terrestrial isopods are called "woodlice."

I'm about to fight Olivia and wimpod is level 26. Any faster way to level him up to 30? Or will that not happen till the third island? I believe I fought everyone on island 2 minus her.

I feel like i should drop Pichu on my team. It's defense is the worst. What good electric pokemon should i replace it with?

I think the quality of gym *cough* Trial battles might supersede Black 2 as the best in the series by far. The challenge and use of strategy is downright amazing.
(Fire = Toxic + Venoshock strategy, Water = Heal Pulse + Brute Force from Wishiwashi)

my team as of the olivia battle is

torracat (28)
shiinotic (26)
ribombe (27)
mareanie (17)
stufful (20)
mudbray (28)

just took my persian and gumshoos off the team

My team is... not even lol.

Just hit Poni:

Incineroar (52)
Lycanroc (42)
Machoke (33)
Zygarde 10% (31)
Kadabra (30)
Makuhita (20) - Probably getting replaced lol

On that note... anyone wanna help me evolve my Kadabra & Machoke?

It sucks, it's
literally at the end of the game-.-

EndgameGAF help us out!

Yup. Stupid.

I suppose I'll stop my progress and spend time backtracking to fill in the Pokedex a bit until either a friend of mine beats the game or a kind EndgameGAFer comes along, because I really want to play through my game with a Ghost/Fire Marowak that actually knows Ghost and Fire moves.

Which sucks, considering I've put 21 hours into this game in the past three days and want to keep playing, but may also be a blessing in disguise considering I've put 21 hours into this game in the past three days.

I've been trying to catch a Wishiwashi that doesn't have balls stats and Nature for an hour, and they all suck!!!

Complaining to GAF, please work!

I've been making due with Flame Charge. It's alright, I guess. It gets Flare Blitz eventually, but Rock Head is a Hidden Ability, so its usefulness isn't great with Cursed Body. I wish I had Lightning Rod though, another immunity would be preferred because Marowak dies too easily to make use of Cursed Body.

I'm not really sure why Flame Wheel and Shadow Bone are before 28. There's no point. In fact, it learns Flame Wheel at two different levels before 28 (1 and 11)

Looking at its moveset makes me almost think it had a different evolution method (like Dusk Stone, maybe) before they settled on 28 at night late. A Marowak also doesn't change its stats in any way.

Shadow Bone looks like an excellent move... if Marowak could actually learn it without a Heart Scale. And without Thick Club, using A Marowak is basically pointless. It's bad. With Thick Club it turns into a glass cannon. A pretty decent one, if its movepool wasn't terrible. I was legitimately shocked they couldn't even allow it to learn the Shadow Claw TM.

Move distribution is wacky this game. Decidueye, a Pokemon partially based on Robin Hood, cannot learn Thief.

Steenee is my new favorite Grass type. So adorable I can barely stand it.

As for the late release, don't worry, EUGAF; we'll still be hype. And we also have a (very sleepy) Discord chat for you to join if you like.

Boss Doggie

all my loli wolf companions are so moe
I'm only the first half of the second island but man, the "healing stations" really takes away the tension you'd normally face. Also I'm very not fond of the region structure. Literally just small paths with maybe a few branching. Even Kalos and Unova wasn't this restrictive!

Also SOS is really lame when you're trying to catch Pokemon.
