Am I the only one, who's finding that Serebii is having major problems (endless connection reset errors at random times) or is the site just really overloaded since release ?
I catch Pokemon to fill up my slave labor camps.
Those shards aren't going to mine themselves. Those berries aren't going to plant themselves.
While I wouldn't say I played the same way, I did try to catch everything I came across, I just didn't really ever dig for the hard-to-find stuff that I didn't intend on using. I feel similarly, my fianceé and I were talking last night about how this is the first time we both feel really compelled to finish up the Pokedex once we get to the post game, and discussing strategies on how we could work together to do it haha.
So the general consensus is that this game is tedious, slow, the new pokemon are outclassed by previous gens...
So should I bother opening this or just return it...
I will admit, though, that I was pretty pissed that there wasn't any dialogue or anything to indicate that only female Salandits evolve. I got a male one all the way to 33, and was confused why it didn't evolve. Had to go back and start from scratch with a female.
I'll go with ever. Finally gone the grid world design and you don't go through 5 buttons to throw a pokeball. Streamline the Amie, visible status effects, removal of HM, More character customization, Type effectiveness indicator, removal of gyms and more. This is a gigantic jump for the series.
how long until I can get mimikyu? Just on my way to the first challenge and visited the graveyard
You are definitely over leveled lol![]()
Current team. Just beat Olivia on the second island.
Combee was the same in Gen IV IIRC.
Fine be me lol. I fight and catch everything lol. The refresh helps too.You are definitely over leveled lol
Right. I don't mind that mechanic itself, but I would've appreciated some dialogue, even if just from some rando in a Pokemon Center, to indicate that this was how it worked before I had raised up a male one, haha.

I spent roughly 2 hours at the beginning of route 1 last night looking for a Pichu. I finally find & catch one, only to progress further into route 1 and now I find the damn things EVERYWHERE. Do 'mons become more common once you catch them?
Is there a point/certain level where Pichu won't evolve into Pikachu anymore? Or is evolving solely based on Pichus happiness?

Wait, communication is opt-in here? I'm sure it was opt-out in Gen VI...then again being bombarded with trade and battle requests drew tiring.Pro tip for festival plaza. Best way is to set in your responses that you're always up for missions, go online, join in other people's missions, and watch the fc roll in
That or female of the same species (which is 50-50). That means for example once bank comes out we can have Gen II and V starters in with their HA and not inside a Pokeball.I'm so looking forward to breeding. Need to get myself a good Ditto first and catch all the new mons in luxury balls
Males can only pass down their ball when bred with Ditto, right?
I recently watched this.Combee was the same in Gen IV IIRC.
Every main Pokemon is both the best and worst Pokemon game ever.
Do we have specific numbers for how much refresh increases experience? Or how shiny ratios improve by chaining?
Diamond and Pearly are the best at nothing. Fight me.
Man, I'm currently playing both the Battlespot singles and Smogon OU Gen 7 only metas on Showdown to try strats out, and it has got to be the most boring shit ever. Everything is so fucking slow, but very few have the bulk to actually take hits before getting a chance to attack, and thus the Ultra Beasts and Tapus (except Fini) dominate.
Fucking Phermosa lmao, if I see her on one more team I'm going to kill myself.

I'm still fishing ripples for Feebas.Day 2.
turning exp share makes no sense. So if you turn it off you get the same amount of exp as you did with it on without the share??
So if you don't use it your pokemon will be severely under-leveled? Is this the "challenge mode" +Set as opposed to Shift? I don't use shift anyways

I'm running an in college tourney a couple weeks from now and all ultra beasts and tapu are banned until further notice. I want to see some uu and bl stuff mixed with prebank ou mons. Not ultra beasts and tapu leLe numbers 244245.
best graphics until the Switch version comes out
Eh, that's not really how it works. The problem with exp share is that if you fight all the trainers, you never need to grind. Thus exp share distributes th experience one mon would've gotten to all the mons in your party. Once everyone is getting all the experience, your party will become severely over leveled, because the game is not balanced around the exp share. It's nice if you have a new pokemon you need to train up, but otherwise it's just a crutch.turning exp share makes no sense. Didn't expect a trainer uses full heal when toxic'd.
Arceus help you if you try to catch a Salandit or get into a drawn out battle with one in a Nuzlocke. Friggin Dragon Rage man.
On the positive side, a female one showed up quickly for me. I'm debating whether to use her or Grimer. They both seem very useful in-game. I'll leaning Salandit since my team lacks a fast Special attacker, and because I want to use more new Pokémon.
I'm playing gen 7 ou Showdown too, only using regular gen 7 mons and beating tapus and ultra beasts. Its not that bad at all
