Not as dirty as using the near invisibility of the quadcopter to just casually drop explosives on people.

Endgame:
I tried to do Wrench's part like 10 times until I gave up and hid over in the bushes and called in nonstop gang attacks until it was thinned out. Kind of a letdown to have infinite grenades and it be so suicidal to use them.

That bit took me a while too.
Mostly because the AoE on those stun grenades is MASSIVE and seemingly goes through cover and instantly kills Wrench. I tried to do it all stealthy at first but then when you do the download they look for you I decided to just take them all out first but kept getting killed by my own AoE because I was shooting it too close or a guy would pop out of cover and get in the way of the 'nade before it lands where I want.

Was super cool to play as Wrench and Sitara though. Would be nice if we could switch to them post game. Obviously no clothing options or doing side ops, just go around the city and do the non voiced stuff.

Took me FOREVER to figure out you could do that.

Definitely doesn't make things up as he goes along.
See dancing crab man.
Stand next to dancing crab man, start to dance.

People like my dancing.
Dancing crab man gets mad, pushes me.

Stop dancing, flip off dancing crab man.
Dancing crab man punches me in the face.

Someone calls the cops.

Cops roll up, and actually arrest the crab man.
Put crab man in back seat of car.

Angry fellow street performer gets angry.
Runs up to cop... and decks the cop.

Cop pulls gun, shoots the angry street performer.
Someone calls an ambulance.

Cops go crazy, run away.
Ambulance pulls up, angry street performer DOA.

Whip out my phone, hack cop car.
Drive cop car into the Bay... dancing crab man still in the back seat.

Cop car slowly sinks into bay.
Dancing crab man retuned to the sea one last time.

Drowns.

.... this game man.
So wild !

Any tips for evading police during a pursuit? If police get called on me it usually ends with me dead after 10 minutes of driving around, getting barged by cops and mashing the hack button to explode vents. I can never evade them. They seem ridiculously OP. The whole thing is not very fun.

I was kinda shocked Wrench doesn't have RC toys like Marcus, not even the jumper. He did have both (non-maxed?) gang/police abilities though which is just as broken as bombing people if you have some patience.

I'd like to see someone clear that using the sniper rifle he comes equipped with, maybe you could pick people off from the building across the way?

Get away from them as much as you can while driving towards hilly non-urban areas and then find a nice quiet incline to hide in your vehicle.

Just did the burning man inspired mission. How far into the story am I ? Ubi club says 8 hrs and 40 percent in (done ALOT of sidequests)

I am hoping at least another 20 hrs

You did 5 main operations (counting the prologue as a main op), you have 9 remaining if I remember correctly

Online update on PS4: every 3 online activities you have to quit the game and restart to make it work again :/

Yeah its soooo annoying I was wondering why I couldnt find any other online matches... really sucks.. wish Ubisoft would just test their games and patches before they release them

Started the game this evening ..

I had a rough spot getting used to things but so far i like it

I just don't see the need for actuall weapons in this game, they should have used a variety of non lethal weapons ( stun gun is awesome )
Other than that .. i'm quite enjoying it.

Try and do side missions to get followers/skills, the game starts rough becaus you don't have much. Also save for the quadcopter, its awesome.

Ok how the fuck are you supposed to disable the laser grid in Hack Teh World when you're infiltrating
Galilei to modify the mobo
??

Driving me insane. I've spent an hour searching this damn place and can't find a switch or anything

I arrested everyone via cops and called gang hits. Eventually it was just me and like two guards ROFL

Kept interrupting their reinforcement calls too.

I don't have the disable security system perk because I wanted to challenge myself.

Aim at them and turn them off? Then from inside there's a closed circuit thingy

I don't have that skill unlocked

Hahaha wow. So I figured it out, you can

unlock a garage door where there's a lift inside, position the lift beside and below the room with the mobo, then raise it. You can then use the crane to carry you to the spot beside the laser, jump onto the lift, raise it up more and climb through a hole in the top of that room

But I mean. Your way is fine too :)

At least it works sometimes ;)
By the way, as things are right now, i feel a little burned... buying Titanfall and WD2 day one and finding them on sale 50% off two weeks later... never again. Two great titles anyway!

My only compliant after 5 hours is how the driving is. If this game had Mafia 3's simulation driving it would be so awesome.

Was walking when I saw someone use a slim jim on a car but before he got in I called the cops on him. It apparently started a high speed chase. Wish I was able to go and see but there was no car around me to take advantage.

The only games I bought day 1 this year are Doom, DS3 and Watch Dogs 2 and I feel like it was a great purchase. 37 hours is worth my money.
Now I'm wondering if I should hold off on FFXV

I'd hold off... I learnt my lesson.
And my backlog is almost embarassing right now ;)

I've only played the game for a few hours, but I'm already tired of missions designed around using the little RC car. The thing fucking sucks. Also don't like that if I try to stealth the mission as Marcus, more often than not if I'm spotted just once it turns into a firefight (instead of getting a realistic chance to escape). I want to try playing without getting into a firefight, but a ton of these missions just have such small areas with a ton of enemies.

Not a bad game, but I think I enjoyed Watch Dogs 1 more at this point. At least it had a story with a main character who, however flawed, had motivations and stuff (especially when it came to his willingness to kill).

This game basically gives you absolutely no narrative excuse to kill a single person. I still do it, but it'd be nice if the story lined up a bit more with the potential play styles.

Upgrade the RC tree and the IED tree. Once you get the skill to deploy IEDs with the RCs, stealth is super easy. Also, use the taunt with the RC car. Hide outside behind a wall outside of the red area. Use the RC car taunt and the NPCs will chase it. Melee them one by one. You can use the FU emote to do the same thing if the NPC can see you.

Also, take the robot distraction skill. The description doesnt tell you that the robot can, in addition to distraction, knock out anyone in its immediate vicinity. Very useful later on when there are robots patrolling.

And my backlog is almost embarassing right now ;)

My backlog is nonexistant, though I'll probably pick up Darksiders 2 on friday after buying it twice for 360 and never finishing either copy. So I've got a lot of free time and nothing to do with it. But on the other hand I could use it to be productive and buy clothes and music, but wheres the fun in that?

Finished this up last night, the last mission was a blast. Kinda sped through the last sections lethally though because I need to catch up on my backlog, but oh well.

I want Wrench's outfit.

Every time I hear a character pronounce Marin as "Mare-in", my suspension of disbelief breaks a little.

With all the research they had to do into the area to build the map, how did this go unnoticed? Was this deliberate to identify main characters as having just arrived in the Bay Area as tourists?

(Like hearing Wrench say "Frisco", I immediately assumed he was a transplant from the Midwest or something.)

So I saw a conversation between Marcus and Wrench about Alien Vs Predator, and that conversation went deep. I'm 100% sold on this game.

Haha yeah. Was just discussing this a few pages ago. I'm glad I decided to drive and then slow down so I could hear the whole conversation.

For anyone else interested: the conversation takes place during the drive to the last area of "Hacker War"

Hah, I was actually glad a mission ended as abruptly as it did yesterday: in the
boat mission, you bring the server thing up to the deck, then I thought I was going to have to raise that thing in the air with the lift so the mega drone could catch it. Luckily the game went straight to cutscene as soon as I approached hah.

Final mission time today. But first some trophy cleanup. At least getting all the data packs gives me more time to mess around while listening to the OST. I'm going to miss this game.

Gotta' return it today, if I want to get my credit back. I like it, but not enough to play through it again, what with all the games in my backlog, and I've already beaten most of it. May as well get the $90 back and put it towards something else, then just borrow this from the library once they get it in.

It'll suck having to wait, but ah well.

I played for a little while today, but just don't feel like gaming much and decided to stop. I think I'm near the end, though, as I just have Robot Wars and Shanghaied left from the trophy list. Unless the secret trophies, like Ubistolen, are story missions. I haven't found any of those.

Play Robot Wars so you can tell me how much you loved it at the next TO-GAF meetup.
It's also OK if you don't like it, it won't hurt my feelings.

I'll have to wait until the library gets it in in a week or more, but will try to remember to let you know.

I wholly intend to beat it. Just wish I had this copy for another day or two, because I feel crappy today.

The Uplay Store has a replica of Marcus' laptop bag, and I think I want it. It's got some Dedsec design on it, but it's not too intrusive. They also have his jacket and pins.

Anyway, the game is great and I've been having a blast playing it.

When playing yesterday I was STILL finding research points on the map. The map is full of them. I wonder how many others I am missing.

EDIT:

I'm also really starting to like that beat that seems to play a lot in the hackerspace

PC gamer here. As someone who enjoyed Watch_Dogs, yet still found there to be TONS of room for improvement - would you recommend this sequel as a Day 1 purchase to someone like me?

Is all of the mp enabled yet? There were some posts yesterday that seemed to imply yes, but no one has mentioned it all day.
