I am sorry but this is incredibly reductive. Games can be great without a narrative, or a single player. They appeal to different people in different ways.

Its MP GOTY but Uncharted 4 takes SP GOTY even if only 1 game can be GOTY.

I would rather see Overwatch win over Uncharted 4, as I feel that Overwatch is the better game. But at the same time I tuned in during the last half of these awards and all I saw were Blizzard developers collecting awards in every category.

It is a competitive CHARACTER based shooter. The cast of characters are diverse and representative of a their and OUR diverse world and not just some hulking bro down. Just like movies representation coherent to the story world is important too.

Here's the thing. Uncharted is amazing. Inside is amazing. Doom is amazing.

Overwatch is more than an amazing game. I don't even play it but that game is more than just a game for this year and is gonna be around for a while, unlike the others. Its massive in comparison. It deserves the award only because its a fantastic game with great design that is a bit of a movement.

I love games with story and narrative. My favorite game of last year was Undertale.

I still think Overwatch is a better game than Uncharted 4, which I finished.
