theres only 3 rpg series better than the FF series

and thats Persona, Shadow Hearts and the mainline SMTs

^thats wrong
ftfy, but worry not, Nihon Falcom games not only are better but some of them are on steam too!

speaking of which, everyone should get this^

I'm probably going to drop some money on FF7. I want to believe SE will someday release the SNES version of FF6. Might look at Monkey Island as well.

I was thinking about getting a few games but then I remembered that all I will play is Overwatch anyway. Likely won't get anything this sale.

Ray Gigant is 70% off. I've heard many bad things about this game, but the battle animations are just too sexy for me to pass up at this price.

Trillion: God of Destruction is $8.99, down from $30.

More people should get this game, as long as they understand that it's not a JRPG; it's a time management/SRPG strategy game with heavy emphasis on VN-esque story and connecting with characters that you are training up to literally send to their death against the game's only boss who has a trillion life.

Maybe I'll do a longer write-up of it, but it was one of my biggest surprises when I played it and is an under-rated, under-bought and most definitely hidden gem.

Omg, thanks for this. I remember seeing this game on Vita and really liking the premise. Didn't realize it was on PC.

I am waiting for you guys to find those sneaky "bundle" deals where you get a discount if you own some.

https://steamdb.info/bundles/

Sort the 1-2-3 column in the header to get "No". "No" means it's one of the complete-the-set bundles. "yes" means it's the old-style bundle where it's all or nothing. So you want the "No" stuff.

Off the top of my head, the DoubleFine, Sierra, and Valve complete bundles look like decent discounts but there doesn't seem to be too much that's crazy good.

Mankind Divided for $20 seems really good. But I just bought Hitman on top of the backlog...

I'm on the fence with this one. I loved the first one but the 2nd one has a lot of mixed reviews and I know the ending is shit. I'm wondering should I just hold out till the goty of complete edition whatever is released with all DLC

When you really get down to it Final Fantasy has never been this perfect franchise. The games didn't really blow up till 7 for a reason, and that was most specifically because the 3D spectacle. There are good ones, but let's not act like FF is the GOAT JRPG series of all time.

Oh, it's isn't, but Dragon Quest is also pretty flawed. (Grinding, also pretty light on story, was often technically kinda dated..)

Also, a list of the top 10 best RPGS wouldn't have any JRPGs in it to begin with.

Its an easy game but it has some annoying parts to it. I dont hate it but dont love it either for things they pull in the game.

Whatever standard here is in IL. I think like 6%? Its real shitty, dollar games are like 1.06 and that fucks everything around.

Yea, without sales tax it'll be like $75. Thanks for letting me know, bud. ILLINOIS WHY MUST YOU DO THIS TO ME!?!?!

Wait for the DLC and GOTY edition. I only bought everything for Mankind Divided because I'm stupidly a huge Deus Ex fan. The gameplay is pretty great despite it not being ambitious enough to include some of features of the original (swimming, active melee weapons animals, mirror reflections, etc) or improve on the AI/animations enough over Human Revolution. The side quests are the best the series has ever seen though.

What's the best old western on steam? Got Gun for the nostalgia but I want something a little more modern in terms of game play and stuff.

I actually removed Abzu from the cart lol >_>

Its like Nabs was saying earlier, bundles have really ruined sales for me, goddamn it

Is Arkham Knight still a mess? It's only $6 right now.

it worked fine for me, there was some hitching but I changed a setting and it fixed it (forget which setting but was mentioned on steam forums)

you can always refund it if it doesn't run well

Happy holidays to everyone!

anyone played this Stories Path of Destinies action rpg? it looks pretty as shit, the reviews are very positive, and the price is good enough if the game is good. Anyone?

Had the same question.

Thanks. Interested in knowing how people decide to strategize about their entries since it's a one-entry raffle.

Hm. Guess I could have made it free-for-all. Maybe it's better if people who really want a particular title get a better chance of getting it, though. I can't remember, after it ends does it become FCFS or do the keys have to be relisted?

EDIT: duh, says right in the instructions.

Or someone that bite the bullet and tell us about it :p

It is a nice game! Lots of replay value from taking all of the paths you didn't take earlier, but ultimately kinda forgettable (I forgot enough about it to make this summary kind of pointless). It is going to be free on plus soon if you own a PS4.
