The CAD prices are so bad.
I think we just need to accept that our dollar sucks right now. there are some good prices though

I played The Elder Scrolls Online during closed alpha or beta, I didn't like what I played. Most particular the combat felt flat, where melee had less satisfying feel than punching a piece of flying paper. And with monthly fee, I'd rather play WoW, Guild Wars 2 or even Wildstar (fantastic mmo combat, too bad the rest of the game was a mess).
But after reading some more about TESO and how much it had improved, I wanted to give it a chance. I missed the free weekend, so I didn't have much experience with the game. I talked with my friend whom, after getting burned on Legion, just bought the game after I discussed the game with him. He really liked it. So I decided to wait for this winter sale and then buy the gold edition of the game.
... And I was overwhelming surprised. I have faint memories of the game, but all were negative. I have only played it for a couple hours at this point, but I really enjoy it. I did not expect to enjoy it this much. I might not play it had it still monthly sub, but as it stands I definitely think the game is going to be worth the current asking price.

How is the combat? Is more an arcade or a simulator?
I didn't play the first, and aside from some passing references to the goings-on in the original, it doesn't seem as though it's necessary at all. I'd say go for it.
I've still only spent a grand total of 2,49, and that was more a 'it's the cheapest thing on my wishlist, might as well buy something.'
All of the stuff I want is juuuuuuust a little too expensive to bite without a second thought. Combine that with lots of (good) games I have sitting in my library, mostly from bundles, but also some other unplayed purchases, and I might not even buy anything else.
Maaaaaybe I'll spend the remaining 10 card capital on something, but yeah.
I don't really miss flash-sales and stuff, but I do think the sale is really lazy. No meta-game or community stuff, just a rotating selection of highlighted deals.
Oh well, downloaded Tales of Symphonia to finally give it a proper try now that everything seems to be fixed and am currently loving The Secret World.

It's more arcade. The sound design really reminded me of Battlestar Galactica.
Oh yeah I know. Still it really sucks lol. I'd buy a lot more games if they were priced the same as in the US though.
Arcade I guess. Not really much of a flight/space game guy so I'm not the best person to ask.

Yes. Skip the 1st one, it wasn't that good and it isn't necessary at all to play it to play and enjoy the 2nd.

The game is definitely geared towards new players while still having content for those who want to really test their skills. It's really as hard or easy as you want it to be. You can save any time and autosaves are fairly generous. The game is made for experimenting.

It's not that I didn't like Blood Money, more that I just wasn't skilled enough to go in and when I played I didn't have enough time and patience to practice. I tried Absolution but frankly I just didn't like that game. For £20 though you can't exactly go wrong so I think I should be fine.
It's the ultimate Hitman game, and demands no knowledge of the series, you can start with this one. There's as much handholding as you want it there to be. With opportunities turned on each assassination can become a very simple, linear affair where you just follow the markers and do what you're told to. Or you can limit the hints. Or you can just experiment and do things your own way. Or a mix of everything.
Though if you didn't like Blood Money I very much doubt you'd like this one, as absolutely amazing as it is. Maybe you'd like Absolution though. It's no classic Hitman but I enjoyed it quite a bit, and it's a much more linear game than Hitman 2016.
Maybe get the Intro package and see how you like it.

So I'm debating whether to pick up the standard or deluxe edition of SFV.
For instance if I pick up the main game and like what I see then can I refund and pick up the bundle immediately or is there a wait time imposed on the account?
I would pick them up piece meal but I'm trying to make the most of my steam wallet.

It was a mixed bag for me on PS4. The game was clearly a handheld game, the levels are short and contained. Missions are over quickly and I liked that. The story is overly complicated and poorly presented nonsense, replete the usual "throw you into the thick of it for three hours" opening and the anime battle school tropes. The game really revolves around the battle system, which is pretty fun and could be really compelling if you like action RPG battle systems. But if you're looking for a sit-back-and-relax sort of action RPG, this might not be it, it's a bit too complicated to passively play.
Basically think of a small octopus with way too many arms and you've got Type-0.

Darkest Dungeon is ruthless and encourages you to be ruthless as well. You'll learn soon enough that the best strategy is to treat your party as expendable. Use them until they break, and then abandon them for fresh fodder.

Pricing is good for most Indies. Around 10℅ more. It is the bigger games that go all out.
Game worth buying at all on PC? Is online/crossplay top notch at this stage?

A few traders may offer the Deluxe Edition for $38 from what I've seen.
If you get deluxe you can use up the accumulated FM for stages etc. The grind isn't THAT bad but Normal Survival and Extreme diff. Story mode can be a chore.
